So as with most photo's we take they have a story. As I'm walking through the lower field at this event. I hear all this laughing and commotion of loud voices. So I had to check it out. Here is this young man just playing it up to the crowd and I mean this kid was 100 % into the character. So of course the cameras came out and he was just loving the attention. And the crowd was eating it up. In the end a woman in a nurses uniform was so impressed with the young man she gave him a kiss on the cheek. He didn't even really take notice as he was still in character. She said a few kind words to him and he looked at her with a straight face, reached in his jacket and handed her a business modeling card. The crowd went crazy with laughter and I even got a good chuckle from it all.

So last weekend was the WWII weekend at Reading, PA. One of my favorite events. This year as always I buy my 3 day pass early in anticipation of the show. This cost me a days admittance as it rained the first day. Leaving me with Saturday and Sunday to shoot. Saturday went ok as I was learning a new camera and found it put me at a disadvantage. And with my old camera being used by the girlfriend . Let's just say I see a 400mm lens in my future.  

Now for the picture below. The young man in the pilots gear had to be sweating buckets by the end of the day. I was impressed so many times over the weekend with re-enactors. They put so much time and money into being as authentic as possible. And they love to talk about what they do. If you didn't know about the clothes, machines, or weapons when you walked in the door. You sure will by the time you leave.

Another from the Cyclocross last weekend. I hate to admit it but I missed this young lady hitting the mud hard. I turned to see her as she stood up and a second after that took this picture. So this weekend I went with the local photography club to see a cyclocross. And it was more fun then I thought it would be. Heckling the riders is a tradition and some are just pro's at it. I enjoyed the event very much. And will say that the stamina to ride a race like this amazed me.
