So... this is actually pretty fun. Weird.

It's basically Temple Run, with Iron Man, plus a bit more variety with having to attack stuff (including daily missions with bosses and such).

Just like Temple Run, you can unlock everything in the game with a lot of time, or some $, so if you have no self control or patience you may find yourself reaching for the wallet...

The only real downside I've noticed is that it EATS the phone's battery. Even on my Note 2, with it's giant battery, is this game's bitch. but it also looks pretty damn shiny, so it's all a balance I suppose.

Probably the best Iron Man game on any platform, which is slightly sad since Iron Man as a franchise is basically video game ready with built-in excuses for upgrades/powerups/training missions/etc that would fit right in... making the fact that no one has made a greatiro... more »

I've run into a problem... I have a few ideas for things I may want to do for a Halloween costume this year, but they all pretty far into the category of "pay serious $$$ for someone to make it, or spend less $, but a shit-ton of time making it myself"

That in itself isn't really an issue... that's sorta the basic concept behind the economy...

The problem is, I don't have the budget to spend the $, and I don't have the space to build it myself (or the know-who, but that actually makes it more interesting for me, since I get to teach myself a bunch of shit along the way)...

I've never been much of a "work shop" sorta person, but DAMN it would be nice to have some space for random weird projects when they get into my head...

Just got the new G+ Android app update. I see there's a new "locations" sections. Click to check it out and I see a map, with avatars for a few local people, a couple friends scattered across the US.... and +Leo Laporte out in Cali. Not sure why, but I'm guessing there's some location settings that some people haven't updated yet or something.

Guess it's taking over Latitude? Interesting stuff.

This COULD go just fine... it really could. It does seem somewhat unlikely to go fine though, seeing as most of tumblr is, in a very real way, against the general yahoo terms of service.

If they keep it really separate, that might not matter at all, but a LOT of people are already freaking the hell out and jumping ship, which is a bad sign no matter what they do with it...

I've never head this one before but find it quite fitting:

The opposite of jump the shark, i.e. when a TV show goes from unspectacular/boring/outlandish to completely awesome. It references Star Trek: The Next Generation, which was unspectacular until season 2, when Commander Riker grew a beard. The show kicked ass from then on.

This is ridiculous. I can see, in an extreme circumstance, forcing the 18 year old not to date the 15 year old, but to be arrested and expelled from school over a first (innocent) offence?

I'd just about forgotten how amazingly bad the effects and acting was on Birds of Prey.... to the point of being pretty hilarious in several ways.

Weird blast from my irc-denizen past. I used to help run the deviantart irc server, which was where the channel was for this very silly "hacking" game, which somehow is still online.

That was 15+ years or so years ago, and it seems like it hasn't been active since then, because I'm still listed in the credits as helping manage the channel.

The internet is a weird place...

There's some seriously weird stories from back then that I should really put down in digital form at some point for my memoirs...
