This series has been phenomenal so far and, as much as I want to see the Spurs win this outright, I know this will be their hardest game so far.  The Heat usually bounce back very well and they are back at home.

Yes, there's a problem here but I don't thing the problem is with any type of discrimination.  It has to do with critical thinking skills.

Let's look at this way.  This photographer was probably so used to doing things a certain way, each and every time that he/she did not either think anything was odd or didn't now how to make this picture better.  I don't think it was malicious.  There were solutions but the photographer in this case is clearly lacking certain skills.

Note:  Why is the child in question the only one to not have his face blurred out in this picture beside the teacher?

The heat index is 96F with 56% humidity. (real temp 89F). It's cooled down enough (I hope) to go out for a bike ride as I try to work my way back up to 20 miles.  My goal today is at least 8 miles with a possibility of 10-12 (unlikely).

I've got a frozen bottle of +Gatorade with me that will be nicely thawed up and extremely cold after the first 4 miles and I just bought 2 more large bottles that are in the fridge.

And we're off .................................

Who's Responsible For This?

I just passed this sign up and had to circle around to get a picture of it. Most of you know I would probably spot this a mile away.  
Here's the problem ......Yes, there's a BLATANT misspelling but the bigger problem I have with this is with the printer.

For argument's sake, let's assume the following:
1)  The transportation company gave it to the printer spelled like this
2) The printer didn't catch the misspelling
3) This was not intentional from the trans. company.

If you were the printing company, would you feel obligated to tell the client about the misspelling?

The problem with today's Miss Whatever Pageants

I don't watch those shows but I have a much better way of helping to choose better winners.

You know those deep, though-provoking questions they usually ask to the top x finalists?  The ones that make half of them sound completely stupid (see my previous post). 

ASK THOSE QUESTION BEFORE THE FINALIST STAGE

Think about it.  The very first competition should be that question.  I guarantee they'll come down to 10 intelligent finalists very quickly and not waste anyone's time.

Most people know my tendency to be a grammar nazi at times (even though I'm not perfect) however, this is one time where people should take notice.

Would you send your child to a library whose books only contained poor grammar?  Would you send them to a school that didn't teach math correctly?  No.   So why should we not expect the news media to proofread their articles for grammar mistakes?

Kids LEARN from these.

As a kid growing up, I remember my grandfather taking me to summer high school baseball games watching the school I'd eventually attend.  Who knew that watching Will Clark play as a teenager would be a memory to treasure later on in life?

Baseball is a true family sport like no other.  There is no other sport in the world that caters to kids as much as they do adults.  Kids and adults line the 1st and 3rd baselines during BP before games with albums full of trading cards to get signed.  A minor league game is just as enjoyable as any major league game.
