Hi guys, I'm new to GIMP and I've installed the 2.8 version one with its correspondent plugin G'mic. I'm having difficulties with their filters (artist mode) with regard to what I see in the preview window doesn't correspond to the final work seen after I applied the settings. Has anybody been experiencing the same? Is there any light at the end of the tunnel? Thanks!

Where the Modern meets the Victorian

This is the entrance of Clydesdale Bank situated in a corner of the traditional central business district of Glasgow. Intimidating, powerful, heavy in comparison to  the classic Victorian style buildings around.

Glasgow under snow

It was beautiful, but cold and miserable too. I walked with flakes falling into my face, my eyes and at the same time I was looking for an address I hadn't been before. Not easy under these conditions!
