My daughter hasn't been able to find her favourite bathers for over a week.

After an exhaustive search yesterday, they remained unlocated.

Today I found them stuffed into a corner on her bookshelf.

Children confuse me :)

This afternoon, my lovely daughter is having her 10th birthday party. Her actual birthday isn't until Tuesday, but I thought I'd share a picture of her cake anyway.

One dalek, assembled from jam roll cake, with chocolate frosting, Malteasers, biscuit sticks, lolly ropes, and (her desire) candy sprinkles.

Happy birthday, Willow. You're growing up too quickly!

Tom Humber, 4th April 1981 - 14th June 2013

We've lost a good friend.

+Tom Humber, a long time and loyal member of GIRC, passed away on Friday.

He was a lover of music, good video games, and American football. His passion was radio, where he worked when he could.

To us, he was a champion of the Promethean venue, the driving force behind Changing Breeds in the new chronicle, and the player of the loveable scoundrel vampire, Alex Danse. 

Tom, my friend, you've left a hole in our hearts, and you will be missed. 

Rest in peace.

For GWB I'm going to be focusing on local myths and legends to build national settings and NPCs and plots.

For GIRC/Prague, that's easy ... there's so much to work with.

But Huntsville ... what's there, myths and legends wise? What would work in your local area in that regard? I'd rather take something 'real' and twist it into the setting, than create something out of feel for your game.

Very annoyed right now. I needed to take my daughter to ballet, but also needed to do some work. So I load stuff into #Evernote, and drop her off, then head to McD's for coffee and quiet time. And every time I try to open my Evernote app, it crashes when I try to sync the new stuff in :( And for some reason. the website login isn't working right either.

Grrrr. No work for me it seems.

I have my DH back, and he brought me home a little something.

This is Cachaca. A Brazilian rum-like drink made from sugar cane. Please note it's a 600ml bottle with a non-replaceable top and 42% alcohol.

Brazilians clearly know how to party :)

DH was told the way to drink it is with a little honey, stirred with a cinnamon stick. Can't wait to try it.
