Doctor Who

So +Melody Green is unhappy. Rose is in another dimension and no longer the companion of The Doctor, and won't show up till the 50th Anniversary episode.

While recouping, I decided to watch Doctor Who. This morning +Melody Green looks at me when she wakes up and asks "Why did I have a dream about Doctor Who?" It's cute. Sadly I haven't been a good Whovian and am not caught up to season 7. We are currently watching "The Impossible Planet"

The Doctor

Today I went to get an ingrown toenail taken care of on my hallux. (I learned what the big toe is called today.) +Melody Green said that we get to see "The Doctor" and she said "Oh but it's not The Doctor and we can't go on a trip in the TARDIS and with Rose." (We're just on Season 2 new Doctor Who.) She then said that if he did show up it might be a zombie apocalypse or some other thing threatening the world. 

Needless to say it was very cute that my wife spontaneously started talking about Doctor Who. 

Also John Dies in the End is on Netflix so I know what I'll probably watch soon.

I'm sorry that I haven't been updating my "Games I haven't beaten" blog... I got distracted with newer games... also Ecco: Defender of the Future has crappy controls.

So I get home and +Melody Green had dinner ready and poured herself a cup of sweet tea. Tigger our cat likes to check out the glasses and usually tips them over. So I start saying "Hide your tea, hide your tuna, cause there's a Tigger on the loose."

Reports

I actually love Mondays at my job. I make the weekly reports covering how the field techs did for the previous week as well as manage an outage log. What I don't love is that the automatic reporting for our billing system decided to take a vacation this weekend and so I'm having to manually run stuff. 

I think I might listen to some MC Frontalot today.

Crawlspace Critters

Last night before we went out to celebrate Melody's birthday, Tigger was investigating our back bathroom's tub. It was kind of intense creeping towards and cautiously sticking a paw out. We thought maybe he had finally noticed the blue patterns on the bathmat.

We were wrong... at 11:30 last night Melody gets me to check out the bathroom because there is a scratching noise coming from our tub. I check it out and tap on the tub and here a low growling noise like what Tigger does to the vacuum. So I figure there is some critter under the crawlspace and think about how "fun" it would be to get whatever out and go to sleep.

At 4:30 this morning Tigger wakes me up and I here the scratching again and Tigger is just staring at the wall. The scratching stops and then I hear these cute little meows over and over. So we apparently have cats... more »

Prenda

It looks like the Saga of Prenda Law is coming to an end and I still think this would make a great comedy, more so than the Apple v Samsung case. Also the Judge sounds like a pretty smart guy.

Work Music

Working on my daily reports decided that for the morning I'd listen to some Fatboy Slim. Now that's it's the afternoon I don't know if I want to be in a drums and bass mood or if I want to continue listening to what I was before.

Cats

Soaked my foot in a vinegar water mix. Tigger decides that he wants to see how it tastes. He's against my foot smelling like vinegar now and I don't think he'll be trying to drink the vinegar water mix, he was coughing or sneezing walking backwards.

The only side effect is that Tigger is trying to cover my foot up.

Good Morning

Good morning! I'm healing up since my toe got taken care of. Driving is out of the question today. I watched Cabin in the Woods. Holy crap, what an epic movie. I started watching it without looking up reviews or anything. Now The Aztecs episode since +Melody Green likes watching the tenth doctor episodes.

Toes

This is a friendly PSA. It's a good idea to properly clip your toe nails and finger nails so you don't get an ingrown nail. As the cat stares at me the numbness in my foot is slowly going away and I have the feeling like a torn cuticle. Also the Dr Pepper box is a toy for the cat.

I'm a geek for Domino chains, and used to love building something like this as a kid. This video is no exception, and it's epic. I do however see some video cuts, so it's probably not a continuous chain. I also believe the guy who created this, was on America's Got Talent, but didn't make it all the way through.

Got to pull some capacitors off a motherboard and "wash" the dirt off some ram on a broken computer. Now I'm planning on giving it to the original user so they can get revenge on it with a 12 gauge. Meanwhile I have a hard drive on my desk that I want to break open and manually "write" data to. I love my job. Being approved to break obsolete equipment is fun.

Good Midday!

I look forward to Monday's as it's the day I get to spend doing reports. I'm not being sarcastic on any form. I truly love doing this, mainly due to that fact I can get away with listening to music while doing it. Last week I was listening to the soundtracks of Amplitude and Frequency, this week I'm thinking besides Daft Punk, I'm thinking Deltron 3030, Aphex Twin, Crystal Method, Chemical Brothers, Photek, or Roni Size. I just can't make up my mind.

EU Playstation+

Sadly I don't have EU PS+ but if I did I know what I'd be downloading on May 1st. Hitman Absolution will be an instant game collection for the folks on the EU PS+. Meanwhile the NA PS+ has Demon Souls... oh and a sale on Hot Shot Golf. I'm not bitter I just wish I could have gotten Sleeping Dogs and soon Hitman Absolution.

UPS's

I'm so happy that our UPS does not make a high pitched screeching noise when it's not working. I'm not happy that our UPS isn't working and so it's making a beeping noise like a funky metronome. Also we lost power for 3 seconds and so our router and switch in our wire closet took time to start back up. There were no casualties except for a spreadsheet I was working on that didn't recover correctly.

Good Morning

It's raining, our front yard has standing water. I woke up an hour earlier because the cat was being more annoying than normal. I've noticed that when we have a thunderstorm the cat gets hyper. I don't know if it's because he's anxious or if it's because he's just really wanting to play but at 5 in the morning till 7 is not the opportune play time. I'm just grateful the cat can't speak, I would hate to wake up to "Hey are you awake? Are you? Come on get up. I want to play, I heard a noise help me chase it." 

The week is almost over woohoo! We got new equipment up and running at work now we just get to endure the "fun" of migrating customers from one system to another.

Ok, I'm not having much luck looking online. So I'm gonna ask.

I'm the audio person at my church and occasionally a couple of the speakers on the stage make a knocking sound just right before service starts. I haven't heard it during service only in practice. Anybody have any ideas how to fix this?

What a great way to start the day our UPC in our wire closet isn't passing power but it sure knows how to beep to let us know something is up. It sounds like a spastic metronome. Other than that fun factor for the day, today will be great!

Automation

Automatic processes for reports is great... except when you don't have proper filters. I can understand where they are coming from and it's not as funny as the DMCA takedowns that request official sites to be pulled but it's pretty close.
