For that reason, I have about 100 people in this circle that I would almost bet you will not share this circle. I also will not add everyone that shares my circle to my shared circles. I have a massive database of trolls and spammers. I am constantly updating that.  They are not here.  It includes about 4000 people. It is constantly updated.  Send people in my circles or communities invites and other spam and you’ll soon find yourself blocked. If they are not following you, I really dislike that.  If you’re doing it, I will know and you will soon be gone.I don’t need to be the number one most shared circle to the point that it means loading you up with a ton of people I wouldn’t follow. I won’t do it.This is a circle made up of mostly of those that are known to share circles. However there are also over 100 profiles with incredible content or promote worthy causes. Most profiles are from those that have shared my circles in the past.To remain in this Circle do this:Plus this post.   Comment on this postShare this CircleAdd this Circle to your circles When you get re-shares of circles that you share, you’ll find that you are in more circles.  It is in your best interest to share it to your stream and tell others about the benefits of shared circles. Are You New to Circle Sharing? Here are some quick tips for you. When you add a circle, many of the people in it will add you back.  Many more will if you have a profile picture of your face. To further improve on that complete your tagline and employment fields found in your profile. Instead of saying you work for IBM or Walgreen’s tell us something about you in that field. What you do at your job or what you’d like to do. It doesn’t matter. What I want to know is what you are interested in on Google Plus.  You’re profile should tell us about what kinds of post you make. The other day, someone told me some of the people that add the circle will delete it. She’s right, they will. So what you need to do is engage with the people you add. Leave comments on their post. When you do your name shows up and if you keep doing it you will get their attention and even those that delete will keep you in their circles more often. Those that don’t, probably are not worth your efforts. Also, for those post that you like or think your audience (followers and potential followers) will enjoy, share those post. When you share another person’s post you should plus tag the person that shared and it and the person that originally posted it. If you don’t do this, they will likely never know you shared it. If they do know they might come by and plus or comment on your share. How do you plus tag? Type the plus sign and then without a space start typing their name. This works best if you add them to your circles before you plus tag them. As you type their name, G+ will offer suggestions of people on G+. When it finds the person you just circled, click their name and you’re done. Now they should get a notification that you mentioned them in a post and they can go straight to your post and view your profile. Google wouldn’t be showing us the number of profile views if it wasn’t important. Google is trying to get us to improve our postings. I believe that’s the main reason they recently add2014-04-24 14:03:33454161152152CC G+

Dallas McMillan7,412Circle from the land downunder - Australia's top 200 PlussersWho are Australia's most followed people on Google Plus?I've put together this circle of Australia's top 200 profiles (by follower numbers - not engagement - some aren't particularly active) on Google Plus. It's pretty interesting to see the types of profiles which make the cut. Here is my quick overview:By far the most dominant characteristic of the top 200 are photographers - professional and amateur. The other notable individuals are a couple of cricketers in the top 10, a smattering of celebrity chefs, musicians, writers, artists, models and other celebrities. There are also fair numbers of Google employees, IT workers, social media and marketing types as well as a decent number of scientists and mathematicians. The only politician I noticed was Malcolm Turnbull - the Prime Minister and Leader of the opposition are conspicuous by their absence.I got the list from +CircleCount http://www.circlecount.com/au/profileslist/ and I've made a few tweaks - removing a couple of profiles that were inactive or had moved away from Australia. There were a number of others which probably don't belong as they now work in the USA or elsewhere.  #australia   #australianphotographers   #circleshare  I've notified members of the circle - let me know if you don't want to be listed.2013-08-04 14:24:522009213CC G+

Charles Lupica66,743          Top 1000 most followed active        photographers sharing content on G+                  Circle One: J to ZThis  is the second of two circles,  The first was shaerd on 16 May here: https://plus.google.com/u/0/103236949470535942612/posts/FPsHj9E2QEo.  The circles have been divided alphabetically to help give more exposure to people with fewer followers and shared at different times to help keep down the stream saturation. Please plus, comment and share.  This circle has no requirements for future participation but your support and encouragement is appreciated. It has been two weeks since I announced my intent to update my circle of the 500 most followed photographers on G+.  I decided to do things a bit differently this time and so I'll share the top 1000.   To build the circles and the list I enlisted the aid of  +Bill Wood +Gemma Costa +Jen Baptist +Katy Houlne and +Margaret Tompkins   They built circles and vetted profiles.  My starting point for this was a list of 2000 names generously provided to me by +CircleCount. I would to thank each for their help.I have chosen the name of the circle carefully to try to accurately represent the contents of what will be in the two circles. The script / finding namesThe script was provided by CircleCount and looks through the tagline of every profile on CircleCount to find the word "photo" or "foto".  If a photographer doesn't have a CircleCount profile they won't be found.  If one of these two words isn't in their tagline, they won't be found.  A few people I know have fallen into this flaw in my thinking.  To fix this, CircleCount has asked me to provide a "whitelist" of names that the script misses.  The white-list list adds another 30 or so names to the result.   Keyword world a personal viewpointIf you don't use the word photographer to describe yourself how do you expect people to find you in a search. "Searcher of cute pixels", "Creative spirit that makes art out of light"; these might be poetic, they might touch your soul but the world looks for content based on keyword searches.  SEO is going to do the same. Consider carefully the words sou use to describe yourself if you want people to find you using search technology. How was the list processedThe list was sorted by the level of activity.  People that hadn't posted in the last month (approximately April 5 to May 5th) were removed from the list.  This included people that hadn't posted or people that had posted only once in the past 4 weeks.  Again, this has some flaws but I'm mostly happy with the results.  People who are posting only in private communities o2013-05-18 13:17:2050113386127CC G+
Stuart Dyckhoff10,589The Less than 5K Photog CircleThis is a circle I curate and randomly re-share. My aim, as one of the still small time followership (though improving), is to give others that have less than 5K followers a chance for some more exposure. To give them that leg up that I had to hunt and peck and sometimes beg for. Don't get me wrong - these folks all deserve the extra recognition and I don't pretend that this will rocket anyone past the 5K follower mark, but it's a start. That said, I am promoting two today to my ex-under 5k circle and now +Dana Allen and +Lauren Moss will have to find another patron :) I am also happy to report that well over a third of this circle have greater than 4k followers which was not something when I started this. How do I get in?Well there is very little criteria to be in this other than ...• you must have less than 5,000 folks following you. If you are near this mark then you need to consider the circles promoted by +Gene Bowker +Charles Lupica +Peter From +Rinus Bakker +Margaret Tompkins and other G+ members that help champion the uner acknowledged artists.• Any photographers must be active and must share mostly their original work.• Sharing this announcement or the circle isn't required - but it is appreciated and it helps you.• the circle will never be bigger than 75 members. Why does Re-Sharing the circle matter? We won't all be being followed by the same people so sharing spreads the word and helps for you to be seen by different folks. If only one person from your followers picks up the circle then everyone in the circle gains a follower - multiply that by 65 and you can see how your follower count will soon grow.(My thanks to +Gene Bowker for the original wording this is based on)Would you like to be in the next version of this circle?1) Be sure to comment here - if I hit 75 then you'll be on a first come waiting list.2) Be active. Post your own stuff regularly...3) Be interactive. Respond to comments, etc... this is the key really4) Be yourself. Post your own stuff, not just re-shares.5) Be sure to introduce yourself. Stop by one of my posts and say hi.6) Be sure to stop by your fellow circle members and get to know them - say hi on one of their posts.7) Be sure to re-share this post though it isn't a requirement. In the end, I make the final call on who gets in or 2012-12-27 20:14:326517615CC G+

I have personally checked each and every profile in this circle. My aim, as one of the little guys is to give others that have less than 5K followers a chance for some more exposure. There is very little criteria to be in this other than ...- you must have less than 5,000 folks following you. That is why I'm happy to put my name on them. There are currently only 4 spaces left in the circle but over the next month I am going to check follow counts and make sure that everyone in the circle is being active - I realise from this small circle just how much effort the folks listed above put in to their circle shares.2012-10-12 10:23:317644711CC G+

Stuart Dyckhoff7,089Under 5K Photogs CircleIt's time to re-share this circle that I curate. In it you will find photographers that all have less than 5,000 people following them. All of them mostly share their own  pictures and are willing to interact if you give them the chance. The circle (along with their talent and the promotion by others) has already done the job for 38 of us and they are now enjoying well over 5K followers.I have decided to keep this circle at below 100 members and I frequently check their streams - the only conditions I stipulate are post mostly your own work and interact with your followers.Anyway, if you need a set of photogs to follow at all levels of skill then add this curated circle.2012-06-16 22:06:5199336CC G+
Stuart Dyckhoff4,436Need Some Loving? and dare I say interaction? Then circle these 125 curated individual photographers all with less than 5,000 followers. If you can't find the room for them then do please try using the #Under5K hashtag.2012-04-12 17:08:171252059CC G+

Stuart Dyckhoff4,182Under 5K PhotogsHere's a circle of 125 photographers that have less than 5,000 followers - some are in the 100's. However they all have excellent potential and their images deserve to be seen by a wider audience. The circle will remain at a maximum of 125 people and as they reach ~6K followers they will drop out and the waiting list (for there is one already) will take up the space.I intend to re-share this circle approx once a month. Let me encourage you all to import this circle and get involved with encouraging these photogs to grow by interacting with them. If you have already reached G+ follow limits then please use #Under5K to follow.2012-04-04 22:02:5912515610CC G+
Stuart Dyckhoff4,152Photogs With Less Than 5K followersHere's a new circle I started curating a few days back. The response has been phenomenal and I'm happy to see so many other photogs wanting to pay it forward. If you want in then only 2 things stand in your way (maybe 3)1. You must be sharing mostly your own content.2. You must have less than 5000 people that have already circled you at time of suggestion / inclusion. The third thing would be:3. Are you brave enough to nominate yourself for inclusion? This is all about recognising that there are so many excellent creators of pictures out there that simply are not getting the recognition they deserve for whatever reason. I'm hoping that by starting this circle you get some more of that deserved recognition. If the only thing you do is import this circle and then forget it, then it won't have the desired effect. You need to re-share it, you need to interact with it. Lastly if you've already got more than 5K circled and you want to follow the circle then I'm going to suggest all those included use a hashtag to promote this circle - that hashtag is yet to be decided upon. Bear with me :)2012-04-01 18:28:48116301210CC G+

Carmelyne Thompson28,374What is a community? One definition is a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. What's the goal of circle sharing? To help you find the people in the Google+ Community with the same interests as youWhy am I sharing this circle and who are these people I am sharing with you?I am part of a circle shared today that were considered engaging community builders. I don't think it should stop there. I think part of community building is sharing other folks who are as interactive regardless of their follower counts. Those folks are not easy to find. Without sounding like I'm full of myself, you'll need someone like me with a decent following to help promote them. That's my main role in community building now. It's like being a gatekeeper. That being said, here are 100 individuals from different fields of interest who have interacted with me the previous months through comments in my posts. You should check them out. They don't have a lot of followers, but they are truly engaging. I hope someday they will in turn share you to others.-2012-03-07 22:20:011001139CC G+

Feeling one with the universe..

I took this shot one clear night at Dodges Ferry, last month, when +Brian Matiash was down in Tasmania. Brian was busy to the right getting his time-lapse/star-trail shots. Tonight we have an Aurora forecast to hit earth around midnight, +Mia Glastonbury so we will be out, camped, setup and ready to snap some dancing lights till the early hours.

Kangaroos fighting at Narawntapu National Park, on Tasmania's central north coast.. This place is the best if you want to see wildlife in it's natural habitat. Luckily we were there during an epic sunset!

Another storm shot from the red centre while en-route with +Topdeck Travel. The lightning was bolting across the sky so much, all you had to do was keep shooting with 3-4 second exposures.. you were bound to get something.

I miss Byron Bay! What a magical place +Topdeck Travel. If you look closely in the top of this shot, you'll see the Anticrepuscular rays, or Anti Solar Point.. We saw that twice in one day. Very unusual! It's something I've only had the privileged of seeing four times, and two were in Byron
