So I just saw that +Em Wells liked one of my posts from a while back. Why do I say this? Because I realize how much I truly miss hanging out with people on G+.

Hopefully during my semester break I'll be able to hang out and hopefully my old hangout family (+Christopher Lira, +Raleigh Burke, +John Fanavans, +Peter G McDermott, +Stacy Frazer, +Cliff Roth, +Amanda Blain, and many, many more) will take me back in.

Hello Android!

I'm getting the Samsung Galaxy S3 in the mail on Thursday. I've had a Blackberry for about five years now. I don't know what made me make the change, but I did.

So, three questions:

1) For those of you who have made the switch from your Crackberry to Android-based phones - any likes/dislikes? Any tips or tricks for switching over?

2) For those who have Android-based phones - what apps are essential for your day-to-day usage of your phone? What tips or tricks do you have?

3) For those of you who have the Galaxy S3 already - what's been your experience like so far?

Did anyone watch the "Adele: Live from London" special on NBC last night (or have it DVR'd)? If so (and if not as well), I have a few questions:

1) Why call it "Live from London" when the damn thing was 100% pre-recorded?
2) Did you think that she was lip syncing a portion of the program? I hate accusing someone of this, but at points I heard sounds when her mouth was closed as well as didn't hear sounds when her mouth was open. Verdict?
3) In her interview: How many Bump-its do you think she used?

HOLY CRAP, IT'S HERE!

No, really, it is. My limited edition +Plus One Collection photography book hath arrived. I haven't had a chance to take a hard look at it (I have to leave for work in a few minutes), but from first glances I think the book and I will get along nicely.

Saturday, I'll have a semi-staged unboxing of the book (however, I don't think I can beat +Kerry Murphy's photo where it's already on her coffee table as a conversation starter).

Thanks to +Ivan Makarov, et al. for all your hard work in putting this phenomenal project together.

Would you like to help conquer cancer (especially childhood cancer)? I'm raising money to donate towards cancer research and I'd like your help. I'm shaving my head in less than 24 hours to stand in solidarity with children (like Colton (a son of a friend of mine)).

Caution: Mini-rant ahead

NASCAR racing and live breaking news are the same: Hours or witless banter and replaying of the same two or three scenes and interviews with no new information.

Also, if a TV show or sporting event, etc. is given three hours - only use three hours. For example, if the Oscars are supposed to be on from 7P-10P, I damn well expect them to be on from 7P-10P and not 7P-whenever they finished (I don't know, my DVR cut out after it's scheduled time +3 minutes). Or, don't say a football game will be televised from 3P-6P and run 45 minutes over. CUT THE F'ING COMMERCIALS!

In addition, what's up with all these God-forsaken commercials lately? Two minutes of show followed by four minutes of commercials.

My day today:
-Ordered Chinese - beef and broccoli (no vegetables) - I get, from what I taste and see chicken and broccoli (extra vegetables - no broccoli). Have a co-worker taste, "yup, tastes like chicken..." Chinese place swears up and down that they put beef in there. Okay, whatever.
-Was unable to say the word "compartmentalize." I kept on saying something along the lines of carpentmalize. Thought maybe i was having a stroke.
