My new OS. I installed on a partition that already had linux and it kept all the documents, etc, from the previous Linux system.

I don't recommend it for everyone but if you want to try all or most of the Linux desktops on one system, this is it. The torrent was not available when I downloaded and the mirror kept going offline, so maybe with the torrent it isn't so bad.

Elbert "Big Man" Howard is one of the original founding members of the Black Panther Party. Big Man was a Black Panther from 1966 to 1974. During that time he served as Deputy Minister of Information and was a member of the Central Committee and the International Solidarity Committee.

As the Black Panther Party grew in numbers, their programs grew in depth. Howard himself was responsible for a free medical clinic for sickle-cell anemia and a work-study program for parolees at the college. The Black Panther Party also created a free-breakfast program, piqued by poor children's inability to succeed in school due to malnourishment. This latter operation has actually been the unstated model for generations of government-run breakfast programs.

The Black Panther Party was on FBI’s COINTELPRO list. When they really started to focus on us was right after Nixon got elected. He gets elected in November 1968. One of the first people Nixon meets with – before the inauguration, before January 1969 – is J. Edgar Hoover. Now, right in the middle of December 1968, Hoover is on television saying that the Black Panthers are a threat to the internal security of America. Four months later, he is back on television saying that the Free Breakfast for Children Program is a threat to the internal security of America.

I have been attempting to download the ISO all afternoon and evening. The mirror keeps going off-line before the download completes. I want to try this one because it has multiple desktops that you can switch back and forth and decide which you like best.

The stream used to be fun, interesting and informative. Now it is work. You can no longer follow comments on a post in your stream. You have to open the post in a separate window to read all the comments. +Google+ Help did you really pay attention to what you were doing. So many things require extra effort that used to just work.

If you were sent to prison based on a law that has been found to be unconstitutional.... would it not make sense that your sentence would be commuted?

This hesitation on commuting the sentence lengths are just as racist as trying to block the repeal of a racist law.

A federal judge has dismissed charges against a Houston couple who sold videos of them torturing animals -- including beating a dog with a meat cleaver and stepping on a cat's eye with a shoe heel -- on free speech grounds.

Ashley Nicole Richards and Brent Justice still face charges of producing, selling, or transferring obscene matters for sale or distribution. The two had originally been charged in Harris County District Court, but those charges were dismissed in December when the two were indicted on federal charges.
