A Late Winter's Sunset, Tatoosh Range - Mt. Rainier National Park
It was technically Spring, but this was taken during very Winter-like conditions a few weeks ago right after some fresh snowfall. I thought that these trees made for a nice composition in the foreground here.

Iceberg Lake - Glacier National Park, MT
I thought I would share an image taken on my favorite hike during a recent Summer trip to Glacier National Park. It was a really fun time hanging out with some good people that I'll never forget. At the last possible minute some clouds decided to roll in that evening over the peaks, which seemed to make for a nice atmosphere.

It's been a while since I've posted on here, so I thought I'd try catching up and share a new image. I recently returned from an incredible Summer trip to Glacier National Park. Made some new friends and got to hang out with wonderful people and talented photographers along the way. Here is an image taken at daybreak out in the Logan's Pass area near Mount Reynolds. There was no cloud action that morning, so the focus was turned instead towards a small flowing creek nearby and the surrounding wildflowers.
Thanks everyone for taking a look. :)

Ruckel Creek Falls - Columbia River Gorge, Oregon
Here's an image I took this Spring on a nice hike and bushwacking down Ruckles Creek Canyon in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge. I opted for a vertical composition here to focus more on the closeup vivid green foliage around the falls. My contribution to #WaterfallWednesday curated by +Eric Leslie.

Coal Creek Falls - Issaquah Alps, Washington State
I revisited one of my favorite local waterfalls recently in the Issaquah Alps and thought I would share an image from there. This is a 20 second exposure taken using a 6-stop ND filter. Thanks everyone for taking a look. :)

Avalanche Lake - Glacier National Park, Montana
Thank you to everyone who has recently added me to their circles. I decided to recently reprocess some images from a Summer trip to Glacier National Park last year. This image is from a day hike up to Avalanche Lake taken in late June on the Solstice. Thanks for taking a look. :)

Kiwanda at Dusk - Oregon Coast
Here's an image I took a few weeks ago during a great weekend trip to Cape Kiwanda on the Oregon Coast. I tried to create more of a misty, dreamy effect here with the water and tide as the night was settling in. This is a long exposure taken with a 6 stop ND B+W filter to slow down the shutter speed. Thanks everyone for taking a look. :)

It's been a while since I've posted any macro shots, so I thought I would share an image that I took of one my favorite Spring flowers, bleeding hearts. These always remind me of little girls with pink pigtails ;)

Here's an image I took of Wahclella Falls while out on a recent hike in the Columbia River Gorge. The wildflowers around the area were starting to make an appearance, so I tried to capture some of the tiny purple blooms with the foliage by this area in the foreground.

Fairy Falls - Columbia River Gorge, Oregon
I'm finally getting around to processing some Spring images and thought I would share one from Fairy Falls in the Columbia River Gorge. The water is near its peak flow and I shot this in the morning as the sun was breaking through the clouds.

Berkeley Park - Mt. Rainier National Park, WA
I've been getting excited lately for warmer weather and hiking out in the mountains around the wildflowers. Here is an image from last Summer that I recently decided to process. This was taken around dusk while out on a hiking trip with a good friend in the Berkeley Park area.

Ponytail Falls - Columbia River Gorge, Oregon
I recently spent some time in the Gorge and thought I would share an image that I brought back from there. The hike around Ponytail Falls is probably one of my favorite areas that I have been to. I frequently see images of these falls from the front, so I opted for a different composition and chose to take this shot from behind the falls, inside the small cave area.

Trying to keep the ball rolling here by sharing an image everyday. Some new, some old. This is an old jammer. Still one of my favorite mornings of photography ever. I thought I was going to freeze my man-parts off standing in this frigid water for about an hour soaking wet.

Here's an image I captured over the weekend at Mt. Rainier National Park. This was my first trip there during the winter and I was in awe at the beauty of the snow glistening everywhere around me. Towards sunset I managed to capture this scene as the sky lit up for a few quick minutes where I was before it vanished.

Happy New Year to everyone. I recently spent some time exploring the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon and thought I would share an image from one of my favorite areas there, Elowah Falls. Photographers generally compose images from farther away down the falls to show more of the surrounding rocks, waterflow and to avoid the mist, but what I was really interested in here was the beautiful vibrant moss everywhere. I tried my best to capture that here, while battling the mist up closer by the falls.

Happy Holidays to all who celebrate. I've been absent from G+ for the past few weeks due to the holiday season, but plan on being more active with uploading images soon. Here's an image from Deception Pass State Park's West Beach. It was a brisk, calm evening and the elements seemed to all come together to make a very nice colorful display.

Thank you to everyone who has circled me recently. This is an image taken last year at Fisherman's Bay on Lopez Island, one of my favorite places to capture sunsets. I thought I would share an image I took last year while hiking the Crystal Lakes Trail with a friend at Mt. Rainier National Park. After hiking 3 miles up a steady incline, we reached the Upper Crystal Lake Basin. A heavy mist covered the lake when we first reached the area, but after a few minutes the sun peeked through and the mist diminished. We were rewarded with this view...and the company of a few pikas nearby. :)
