If I were the Devil
by Paul Harvey
I would gain control of the most powerful nation in the world;
I would delude their minds into thinking that they had come from man's
effort, instead of God's blessings;
I would promote an attitude of loving things and using people, instead of
the other way around;
I would dupe entire states into relying on gambling for their state revenue;
I would convince people that character is not an issue when it comes to
leadership;
I would make it legal to take the life of unborn babies;
I would make it socially acceptable to take one's own life, and invent
machines to make it convenient;
I would cheapen human life as much as possible so that life of animals are valued more than human beings;
I would take God out of the schools, where even the... more »

This is the kind of article that pretty much explains my ideas on why Fox News is awesome and everything else....just isn't.

I just want to say...
THIS IS BULLSHIT
Please rant as you will about how stupefied you are of this idea.

The Scientific Argument For Pro - Life
Abortion is unlike any other issue debated today. Millions of American women have aborted a child, and the pain, loss, and emotional need to justify what was done, both on the part of the mother and on the part of her loved ones, is strong and deep. This means that, in any debate, you may face an invisible thumb on the scale so that even the best logic will fail to persuade. The best you can do is arm yourself with the facts and deliver them in what you hope will be a winning way for your audience -- meaning you will need to make your case, in most instances, not in the language of faith or religion but in the language of the post-modern secularist.
Arguing from Science
The "classic" arguments from the other side collapse under the weight of science. Establishing the evidence of the beginnings of human life will... more »

Just a question, before I share my obvious opinion.
Is the death penalty pro-life? And do you think God wants us to have the death penalty?

Oh, and one more thing I learned that I think everyone should know.
Women do not make less than men in this country. The only reason the numbers are skewed like that is because women tend to start much later in life looking for a job. Some want to raise kids first.

Clint Eastwood called Obama an "empty chair" and Biden "a grin with a body behind it" which was proven following their debate performances.
Some say my problem with President Obama is because of his race.
No, my problem with Vice President Biden is because of his face.
Joe is laughing about WAR, gosh that is reassuring.
Biden was being kind of Biden during the debate.
He was acting like a drunk at the bar, only without the bar, or the beer.
I hope Obamacare covers the whooping he received during the first debate.
Obama got owned, refinanced, and owned again.
My favorite responses on the debates from Dennis Miller and Greg Gutfeld...and a few others.

I listened to the entire VP debate and yelled at the moderator every time she tried to become one of the debaters.

I think Ryan did the right thing. He didn't try to go down to their level, because as we all know, Biden is God down there. He proved that tonight.

Well, I haven't posted anything really interesting in awhile, so let's get a conversation going.
The Bible mentions that "it is easier for a camel to enter the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God." (or something like that) and I wonder...what should you do if you do end up rich? And is it possible to be rich and a God-fearing Christian?

Just a simple question: what do you think of the phrase "God helps those who help themselves?"

These are 2 different wages from the same job. Both are paid on August 30, 2012. One is a $1000 check, the other is for $410, almost 2.5 times less. This is the difference between someone who works 50 hours weeks making $10 an hour with several responsibilities (we shall call her "manager") to someone who works 35 hours a week making $7.25 an hour who just has to serve the customers (we shall call him "worker").
Let us compare the tax rates.
Social Security for manager: $42, worker: $17. Sounds fair.
Medicare for manager: $14.5, worker: $6. Sounds fair.
VA income tax for manager: $40, worker: $0. Say what?
Federal Income Tax for manager: $118.44, worker: $4. Doesn't this sound...fishy?
Now, to make it even more interesting, the manager makes around $25k that year and pays the whole $2500 in federal income taxes...and gets $2200 back ... more »

On any of my posts, I will either ignore or remove any comments that involve personal attacks. Also, if I am attacked on your comments, know I will retaliate with this statement:
"The only time someone will attack you personally is when they have no legitimate argument left."

OK, the only thing I am going to say on the Healthcare ruling is this:
Take it with a grain of salt. Instead of considering it the "death of the US," just look at it this way:
Obama has now officially broken the record for increasing taxes more than any other President even with inflation, no doubt in my mind. Forget spending, he just proved beyond any doubt that he has done just that.
Should be enough to push that message. I hope Mitt Romney does just that.

Politics: if more people paid attention to it, politicians would cool down, because the absolutely crazy things would cool down.

All right here goes another discussion time!
Premarital sex. After hearing ideas from kids and adults on why they feel sex is or isn't okay before marriage, I think I found something. Many feel sex is ok if you really like the person. Don't even need to love them...just like them.
Well, I feel even love isn't enough. Liking someone, loving someone...that can change easily, especially in the younger, less mature years. The reason sex should wait for marriage is simple: trust. If you are having sex before marriage, you can't trust them, and they can't trust you. Marriages involving premarital sex (with or without other partners) have a 67% chance of failing in 10 years, 50% in 5 years. In other words, you are rolling a dice and praying for a 5 or 6 when you break that sacred trust.
If that doesn't matter to you, you just...aren't... more »

I would just like to say: Governor Walker is now the only Governor to ever survive a recall election. Why? Because he never deserved to be recalled in the first place.

People believe what they want to believe or if they are afraid it is true. And for those who believe and have faith, no proof is necessary, but for those who don't, no amount of proof is enough.
Being a Christian IS dangerous, because you are attacked and persecuted for it, but still we persevere. We are to love evil, but seek justice. We are rebels for a cause that none of us understand, but we know it is right. We are led by a mighty hand, and we fall but do not stay down. We live by the Bible regardless of man's opinions on it, for the Bible is the word of God, and no man can judge the Bible, for it is not of his realm. We live. We love. We forgive. We do not give up. We are dreamers, healers, and we dream of destroying the sin of the world, the flesh, and the devil.
That is a rebel. That is why Christians are the strongest people on earth.

This post is something I felt was sorely needed. Actually, it would be awesome if we could spread it around (feel free to argue that it shouldn't be). However here goes.
When you decide to enter an argument against someone who you do not know, keep these rules in mind, like I do when I argue politics and other interesting things:
1) Always remember that your opponent just might be right. That has to be the first rule in an argument. Remember, in order to be truly seeking the truth in the matter, you cannot assume that you have already found the answer. You might be wrong. Keep it in mind.
2) this second rule goes with the first and is just as important. Never degrade your opponent. Name calling or otherwise treating your opponent unfairly only proves one thing: you are out of reasonable arguments.
3) Think before you post. In a heated debate, it is... more »

FACTS ABOUT TAXES
The U.S. tax code is not designed to promote jobs and economic growth.
The U.S. currently has the second-highest corporate income tax rate in the world and will soon have the highest.
High tax rates are encouraging businesses to transfer jobs abroad and keep their profits overseas.
Our capital gains tax is already higher than many of our international competitors and will rise further still when the current round of tax cuts expire next year. High capital gains tax rates discourage entrepreneurship and investment in job-creating companies.
Proposals to raise tax rates for high earners will increase taxes on entrepreneurs and small businesses, which create two out of every three new jobs.
The U.S. federal tax code is more than 3.8 million words long according to the IRS’ Taxpayer Advocate.
A study found that the 1993 increase in the t... more »

The world chose one singular person and called him "Normal."
If you were in any way different from normal, your name is "Weird"
However, "Normal" became "Unwanted" and had no friends.
And some "Weird" saw that and tried to become the opposite of "Normal"
And the "Weird" people got even worse names: "Minority" "Fat" "Glasses"
And so those who chose to be friends with "Minority" "Fat" "Glasses"
They became "Friend."
So be "Weird"!
Be "Friend"!
Be yourself.
