It's still icy and blue around here.

We've been puttering around the house all day.

I need to start sorting through the photos from our trip to the tip of South America, but I keep putting it off because there are just too many pictures.

This photo jumped out at me and I thought I'd share it with you. It's the summit of a glacier, and yes, that's the real color - this shot is almost SOOC. The most amazing thing about this shot is that I lugged an increasingly heavy camera around my neck throughout the whole trek and both the camera and I made it out in one piece.

I would love some encouragement to get this project moving. If you like this shot, please let me know! :-)

I think that one of the best ways we have to remember our lives, our history, is to shuffle through old photographs. We carry them with us and present them as gifts to future generations. Color !!

This assignment was SO much easier than the assignment from the week before.

Dapples of Light

As I walked our dog around the park, the sun was setting when we reached this clearing. Big yellow circles of light, perfect round circles, were planted on the grass. Oddest thing. We kept walking and then just had to come back and take the photo.

This image intrigues me for two reasons. First, these were serioouuus dapples and I must admit that I've never had the opportunity to say the word "dapple" before this experience. That is one cool word. Dapple.

And, second, I don't know if you've been following current fashion, but it seems to me that polka dots are coming back. It looks like mother nature wanted to get in on the trend and decided to put some yellow polka dots on her green velvet fabric.

Anyway, there you have it. The dog did not care at all.
