Three Good Reasons Left

Every Mother's Day for the last 10 years, I have had a reason...or two...or three... to keep going and keep trying. Unfortunately, about 5 years ago, I lost one of those reasons. I found out I had lost our baby girl, Mia, the Friday before Mother's Day in 2008. In September of 2008, a new reason was kindled...but it wasn't until she was born in June the following year, that the flame took.

I always say my oldest two kept me from losing my mind completely...so that my youngest could heal me to be the mother I am today. I am incredibly blessed and grateful to have all three of my living children, and to have the barest moment in time with my angel baby.

Blackberry Order Up

I started following +Nicole S. Young quite a while ago and had the pleasure of meeting her in person last year in Portland. She has the most amazing, mouthwatering food photos you have ever seen!

As I was setting up the camera and settings for this shot... I walked away from my camera and I don't know if I brushed it or what, but the camera ON MY TRIPOD toppled. Hearing that sickening crash made me want to puke! Fortunately, it seems that it is just cosmetic (cracked flash housing)... I can live with that. Mostly. Sigh.

I didn't realize my focus fell wrong until I had nearly finished my editing. Sigh. I am just too tired from this weekend already to go back and redo...so it stands this way. And honestly... I think I really like it anyways.

Happy #FloralFriday everyone!!! I hope you have a great day today and this weekend is fantastic! I am gearing up for a slumber party for my oldest and this weekend is going to be busy, busy, busy.

I am beginning to think I might need a co-curator or three because my Fridays have been so busy lately...
