Another handheld macro shot. This is the zoom scale on a Fujinon XF 18-55mm zoom lens

This is another hand held macro using a Nikkor 105 mm f2.5 + Raynox 250 adapter. The image is from an advertising flyer, and is less than an inch across. It was taken at an angle. You can see just how shallow the DOF is. There is a band of relative sharpness running across his chin. The dots must be the printing process.

I was messing around with a Raynox 250 on my Nikkor 105mm f.2.5 lens late last night. It's pretty amazing for 43 pounds on Amazon. The universal mount is flimsy, but the lens unit is a triplet, in a metal mounting. Very shallow depth of field, very hard to focus. I took these shots handheld, bracing my arms on the arms of the chair. I'm awaiting for the arrival of a cheapo slider tripod, hopefully that will be a big help.
