Brazil is starting a Revolution. The dissatisfaction has been around for years. But this time, the social media really helped us organize of the protest. It moved hundreds of thousands of Brazilians to get up and do something. Internet once again, helped a nation to stand up to its government.

Update 2: Turkish Medical association just issued an urgent call that the situation in Turkey is getting worse, and health personnel are being blocked or suppressed from treating injured, again confirming several detention of medical doctors and medical students. They determined that over 10 thousand people have been exposed to harmful gases and there are nearly 1000 serious injuries. The association has issued plea to the international community to act against brutal suppresion of democratic demands of Turkish citizens.

Update1 : There are now reports that this individual may not be doctor but a criminal. Yankee (my esteemed partner) here and I spent the night before last in the local hospital emergency department. He has a kidney stone and was being treated for acute pain associated with same. He's fine and back home now but the stone is still yet to pass.

Apparantly, it's something akin to childbirth when the thing passes. I cannot understand why my encouragements of yelling PUSH! PUSH! are not well received. XD

I really have no complaints in life. I have family, a roof over our heads, sustainable employment that pays our bills (I'm the only one working), enough food (and alcohol lol) and free time to indulge my passion of politics and the intarwebz. I live in Australia, which is still a free country (godzown mate) and I have friends.

And not a single fuck was given that this guy had enough ammo for a prolonged battle. Does anybody checks for spikes in people's buying habits for ammunition? If America has PRISM and is getting people's phone metadata, why isn't anybody actually doing something constructive with available information and targeting acquisition of large stores of ammunition and weaponry?

Because the Second Amendment guarantees the right to bear arms. Well, woop de doo. You have another shooting rampage.

I can vouch for this working in the NSW Government department that employs most engineers for infrastructure works. The loss is significant and not replaceable in the short term if the Government decides to spend money again on infrastructure projects. This, combined with the ageing workforce, means that a motzah of both talent and knowledge is being lost to the state. And it's not the only state.
