This shot taken after work today. Sometimes a nice walk in the woods erases a busy hectic day. I've got a Realtor coming tomorrow to put my house up for sale. I'm supposed to be cleaning right now but I just want to go to the lake to take photos. Even if I didn't clean I should go to bed. haha

A shattered television. Hydro out and no water. Nothing in the bank and little in the cupboards. Children outside playing and no video games. No cell phones, only laughter as we actually talk with other people. No sunshine, dark clouds with rain and snow. The wind is blowing and we watch from our windows. Life is great because we want it to be.
Today, I'm remembering all of my Mother's amazing stories. The ones I will forever cherish because they were wonderful and so was her voice and laughter.
Stories of growing up poor, her, and her brothers being excited simply because an ice truck came by and they caught the dropping ice. Good, or better than candy. Her Father bringing home fresh blueberries or mushrooms when in season here in Ontario. And, fresh Milk. Things that we take for granted in a society that believes it's in total control, yet separates itself from reality... more »

This is Morgan. My Mom's Partner up until the day she passed away. Of course I'm out of the photo, but this is him and I enjoying a beer together. And, great conversation as usual. Like a 2nd Dad, someone even at my age I can look up to and take ideas from. The only hard bite is him beating me at horse shoes every summer. He is a great man.. ;)
