So... guess who just got a fiddle? Yep, me! Now, who can recommend some good learning resources? Also, any shared fiddle circles?

Banjo players / other musicians - any one else have this happen? You play a tune perfectly until you hit record, and then it's like you never played before? I find myself rushing the tempo like crazy, messing up in places I never mess up before, etc...etc... And the funny thing is I've actually got years of experience as a professional musician... something about recording for the internet makes me nervous!

Church In The Wildwood sung by Andy Griffith, Don Knotts, Robert Emhardt
Such a great clip. Remember, take the time to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Don't complain that things are too fast paced today - just make things be the way you want them to be now. Sit outside, sing or play an instrument, take a nap, go to Thelma Lou's for TV.

So I dreamed the other day that I was jamming out on piano with the Muppets (Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem) and as we started playing, we all floated up into the sky to join Harry and Hermione for some kind of great protest in the sky. Best. Dream. Ever. Fist pump upon waking up.

Things I love about Objective C - expressive messages:
[myCollection insert:myObject atIndex:10]
Things I dislike about Objective C - expressive messages:
[NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@/%@/%@", three, two, one];
(compared to C#)
string1 += string2;
