Pro-religious debaters and apologists try to bring up Hitler and Stalin to say how awful atheism is; but anti-theists don't need to reach far into history, the fundies are making the case for us everyday. 

I hope the internet heralds a new wave of secularism, and fundies find themselves marginalized more and more and more.

This is a fantastic story.

If you know the Hawkeye Initiative, you know what this is about. 

Women in comic books have their junk hanging all over the place. 

In this story - a women proves the theory by gender swapping a poster of a scantily clad female character. 

The banana hammock counterpart caused quite a row - and in the end, caused some change for the better.

For Mother's Day this year - my mom and I went to the Outback Steakhouse where my cousin Torrey works. 

My mom babysits Torrey's daughter Anniah when Torrey and her husband are working or when they need a night off. Tonight we brought the baby to Outback so all of Torrey's friends and coworkers could see her. 

This has been a great arrangement for them as well as my mom who really enjoys taking care of little ones. I don't have kids, I don't want kids - but I do love being an uncle!!!

A couple months ago, we did a photoshoot at my apartment. I used to be in photography, so I set the backdrop, I brought in a few lights to get lighting just right. She was only 5 months old when these were taken, so my mom was propping Anniah up in half the shots - I photoshopped her out. If you are a Catholic priest  and you witness another priest molesting an underage boy or girl - DON'T YOU DARE SAY ANYTHING.

Because if you allow the public to know about sexual abuse at the hands of the clergy, you will face much harsher punishments than if you were the one molesting the kids!!

[Holy] See the Catholics don't like whistleblowers within their ranks. Minor blowers, no problem.

I've never noticed this before - I could have gone my entire life without ever knowing this. Commander Riker does not know how to use a chair properly. 

The human brain has this amazing ability to filter out the bizarre. Bigfoot could walk by your window right now and you probably wouldn't notice because your brain just doesn't have time for that shit.

Here’s another example — I've watched every episode of Star Trek: The Next  Generation (several times) and I never noticed that Riker doesn't know how to use a chair. When the guy sits down he pulls the chair back and dramatically slings his leg over the back of it like he’s mounting a freakin’ horse. He apparently does this all the time, regardless of the situation. It’s nuts.

If my last apartment was The Battle of the Scorpions, then this new house is The Battle of the Bugs!

Ants, mosquitoes, roaches, and spiders of all shapes and sizes have decided that they can live rent-free all up in my space. 

I tried doing things on a case-by-case basis -
Setting ant traps in the bathrooms
Pet and baby safe pest repellants
Canned bug spray for webs and bugs in high places
and the ol' reliable flip flop for the rest!

But they have stepped up their game, declaring all out war! 
Chemical warfare was my weapon of choice. 

Yesterday I mixed up some poison concentrate and water into my sprayer and sprayed inside and outside of my house for hours - every wall, every door, each window, all through the garage - full exterior perimeter. Everything.
