A man once came to me on the day of his birthday feeling all depress and told me how he was feeling down, he couldn't stand the fact that he was getting older, that his best days were behind him and wasn't really looking forward to see what life has in store for him. This man had just turned 26....we really need to understand the amazing power of our thoughts and the effect it has on our lives. The day we start thinking we are old is the day we will become old, The day we start thinking we are poor the day is the day we will be poor and the day we start thinking we are unhappy is the day we will be unhappy. Today I am celebrating my 44th birthday and I feel AWESOME!!!, I am Young, I am Grateful and I am Happy. I know the best is yet to come, still so many exciting places to visit, so many incredible experiences to live, so many wonderful people to meet. I want to take this opportunity to thank all... more »

I have been to Norway twice already and totally fell in love with the incredible country. I was extremely happy when +serdar ugurlu photography  contacted me to see if I would be interested in teaming up with him and Christian Ringer to hold an amazing photo tour in one of the most beautiful places on earth ...Lofoten, Norway. smile emoticon Not only will I get to visit this beautiful place again, but will do so at the best time of the year to be there with two passionate individuals. In Spring, Lofoten is blessed with the "Arctic Light“ a phenomenon which takes place in the weeks before the midnight sun. During this period the sunrise and sunset are interconnected in a breathtaking show of color and light lasting between 8 – 12 hours. A dream come true for any photographer and nature lover. Extremely Happy and honoured to have recently teamed up with Canon Canada for my photography and upcoming big project. Feeling very honoured to be recognize by and within some of the big names the industry. They have setup a beautiful window display at the entrance of the Montreal Central Station at 800 René Levesque Blvd West. If you are ever in the area and have some free time, stop by to have a look :)
I also want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have been following me for years or even days wink emoticon Truly heart warming to see that my passion is appreciated by some. I said it before and I will say it again, you guys are literally fuel for my passion. Always very grateful for all your interaction. Wishing you all a beautiful day.

I often think that I need to travel to exotic places in order to capture wonderful images...If only we take the time to look at our surroundings and change how we look at it...we will be amazed of what we can find. smile emoticon This was taken in my beautiful province of Quebec, Canada. One simply cannot visit Myanmar without falling in love with its children..Here is just a small sample of the images of these beautiful human beings I was able captured during my stay in this incredible country. Once again, this is not my type of photography at all as you may already know but could not help myself than to almost entirely focus on the people instead of the landscapes. Truly a first for me and what an unforgettable experience it was. Hope you enjoy these quick edits and please let me know your honest thoughts. Wishing everyone a beautiful weekend.   #VikingCruises‬     #lifewelltravelled

visited Incredible Bagan in Myanmar!!! What an amazing place...as much as this place is incredible..the thing that really touched me the most about this country is definitely the people.. So many of us are spoiled but still find a way to be unhappy or complain about what we don't have. Burmese people barely posses a tiny fraction of what we do but seem to be so much happier. This is one experience that was genuinely good for my soul. Wishing all my Google + friends a great weekend, hope you are all doing great   #Vikingcruises   #Lifewelltravelled

Another incredible day in Myanmar. It was truly another day filled with beautiful life experiences and incredible scenery..Being on a river cruise permits me to view all sorts of different landscape without getting tired carrying all my equipment around. I must say I am really starting to enjoy the convenience of drinking a cold Gin Tonic while waiting for things to come to me... smile emoticon might as well enjoy it because I know this won't happen too often. Here is a beautiful moment I was able to capture from the boat yesterday. ‪#‎VikingCruises‬ +Viking River Cruises

Edward cannot be more right about this... unless you fly in an helicopter over the Canadian Rockies. tongue emoticon Just went over some of my pictures from last year and found another take from this wonderful experience. Seeing that pic, brought me right back!!. This was definitely one of my highlights from last year. Very hard to describe the incredible feeling and I owe this unforgettable experience to the pros at +Rockies Heli Canada  and the awesome people at +Travel Alberta. I will end this quick post with another quote from ~ Michael Althsuler ---- “The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.” ----- Where are you heading today??

I recently got asked, "What is the single biggest mistake you have made in your life?" Took me a little while to answer this one and could not come up with an answer. I kept going back in my life and thought about all those moments where I thought I literally screwed things up only to realize an hour, or a year afterwards that these weren’t mistakes at all. All these so called mistakes were actually blessings in disguise. I can sincerely say that my mistakes were and still are the best life coach I could ever ask for.
- They made me realize that no matter how much I stress over things I do not control, It will never affect the outcome in a positive way, as a matter of fact, it will only make it worst.
- They made me appreciate the people or things in my life instead of focusing on what I don’t have.

- They made me appreciate the people or things in my life instead of focusing on what I don’t have.
- They made me realize that impatience always leads to no good.
- They made me realize that most of my fears were nothing more than small pebbles in my shoes..Very uncomfortable but once removed, very trivial.
- They made me realize that no matter how much I wish to be someone else, I will always be my one and only self and to be proud of that.
In other words, they all made me a better man.
I know that some of you might be able to share with me mistakes that you simply cannot find a positive outlook from but I am sure you will agree that you can on most of them.
If you are presently thinking you have just made a big mistake in your life, instead of making things worst by dwelling over it, Try asking yourself..What can I learn from this that will make me a better person? Who needs to spend money on a life coach really…lets just keep making mistakes.. They're free!!! (well sometimes they are) wink emoticon
In the end the important thing is to remember this famous quote from an unknown author : "You can't make the same mistake twice. The second time you make it, it's no longer a mistake. It's a choice.” So I advise you to learn quickly !! Wishing you all a beautiful week full of mistakes. tongue emoticon

Wondering why your passion is not happening? A friend of mine is presently going thru major questioning about his passion and direction with life. This made me think.. why are we always prone to imagine the worst in a situation instead of dreaming big and imagining how big and fulfilling our life can get. Usually we don't want to mess things up by doing it wrong so instead we make sure we really mess things up by not doing anything at all. We waste months/years waiting for the perfect time to act and the more we wait the more we get scared to act..The more meaningful this passion is ...the more we tend to only imagine failure. There is a reason why this has became your passion. And that reason is.. you acted upon it and found that it truly made you feel alive. That feeling became like a drug and you needed it more and more. We did not learn what our true passion was by remaining inactive. So we have to... more »

So we have to make sure to keep that same spirit at all times...specially when we are trying to live out of it. We need to keep moving, not worry if this is in the right direction..keep moving and realign yourself if you need to but never stay inactive waiting for the right moment. This is when you can easily turn into that zombie again. If you see that something is not working, don't keep doing it for years hoping for a different outcome, change it around. Take some time to think..really think. Turn off all phones, TVs, distraction and take at least one night per week with a pen a paper to write down different ideas that could help you achieve your goals (sending an email to someone, trying a different approach, teaming up with a friend etc..)...don't judge what pops into your head..just write it down. You never know what other great ideas it might bring in the future. Let's face it, we are all waiting for Superman to come and save us, or that holy voice to tells us exactly what to do. I am here to tell you, this so called saviour is already there...living inside of us. It constantly tries to guide us in the right direction but we prefer to look the other way, the same way most of us do when we pass an homeless man on the sidewalk. The easiest approach is definitely..Let's pretend he's not there so I can go on with with normal little life. I strongly believe we were all born with what I call our own "Natural Navigation System" (GPS if you prefer) Once we have determined what our true passion is, it will automatically start guiding us in the right direction. Imagine this for a sec, what would happen if every-time your GPS tells you to turn one direction, you completely ignore it and turn the other way?? Well you would never get to your desired location. Why do most of us, do that with our lives? Bottom line is, There are no excuses that will bring you the life you want..Only Actions..no matter how small they are. If you truly want to live a fulfilling life that is full of passion, what are you doing to make it happen? The power only lies in your hands. Act now before it's too late. (If my friend reads this and knows this was meant for him...Love you bro..I truly believe in you :)

Some came into my life just for a brief moment and some chose to stay and became close friends. When I think about these great lasting connections, I immediately think of +Ken Kaminesky  +Elia Locardi  and +Naomi Locardi  . They are without a doubt some of the most hardworking, dedicated & talented individuals I was fortunate to meet via social media and then lucky to build a true friendship with. When I see people I love, living their dreams and making things happen for themselves, I cannot help myself than to be truly inspired. My three great friends have just entered in this great venture and created a new photography tour company called DreamPhotoTours.com. For the launched of their brand new website they have teamed up with some of the greatest companies in the field and put together an AWESOME photography giveaway ... and when I say AWESOME, I am not kidding!!!! You have given me inspiration, you have given me motivation, you have given me your friendship, and you have given me love. I know I have said it over and over but I can never say it enough..This really means A LOT to me and truly grateful to have each and everyone of you part of my journey.  <3 :) <3

*Little Inspiration of the day by +Steve Marabol *
When a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully.
When there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light.
When there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it.
When something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway.
When life seems to beat you down, dare to fight back.
When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some.
When you’re feeling tired, dare to keep going.
When times are tough, dare to be tougher.
When love hurts you, dare to love again.
When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal.
When another is lost, dare to help them find the way.
When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand.
When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile.
When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great too.
When the day has ended, dare to feel as you’ve done your best.
Dare to be the best you can –

At all times, Dare to be!”

Just got reminded of this tale by my good friend +Sophie Viau
How awesome and true is this?
--------------------------------
One evening, an elderly
Cherokee brave told his
Grandson about a battle that
Goes on inside people.
He said "my son, the battle is
Between two 'wolves' inside us all.
One is evil. It is anger,
Envy, jealousy, sorrow,
Regret, greed, arrogance,
Self-pity, guilt, resentment,
Inferiority, lies, false pride,
Superiority, and ego.
The other is good.
It is joy, peace love, hope serenity,
Humility, kindness, benevolence,
Empathy, generosity,
Truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson though about
It for a minute and then asked
His grandfather:
"which wolf wins?..."
The old cherokee simply replied,
"the one that you feed"more »

As it moves across my face

And everything is in it’s place
I woke up feeling great
Today was made for me
And life is good, the way it should, the way it was meant to be
And it’s a beautiful day

The highlight of this trip, if I had to pick one was my Helicopter ride with Rockies Heli Tours...An awesome experience I will cherish forever. Here is a quick edit of one of the images I was able to capture on that epic ride. +Travel Alberta

While shooting sunset I accidentally stepped into this huge puddle of water and got both my shoes soaking wet. Unfortunately I only have one pair with me so I had no choice to take the necessary measures to make sure they are completely dry by the end of the day. Don't you hate it when this happens? ......All kidding aside this one one helicopter ride I will never forget. So Grateful to both Rockies Heli Tours and +Travel Alberta  for this incredible experience of a lifetime

True quote by Anne Frank that we often forget "How wonderful it is that nobody needs to wait a single moment before starting to improve the world." We can all start by saying kind words to someone in need, help a stranger or the simplest thing...Smile  it has enormous power. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Hitchin' a ride on a small Iceberg in Iceland...Had a great time with my good friend +Ken Kaminesky  capturing this shot..Every time a wave came, I felt the whole thing moving and was wondering if I would get swept away in the ocean. Definitely prefer my usual kind of shots but these are by far the best souvenirs I can bring back from any location and they will also be great to show my kids one day (if I ever get any  ). Chances of that happening is getting slimmer by the minute so instead, once I get very old, I might have to keep bugging everyone at the retirment home. "Hey You!!! Come Here!!, Did I ever show you that pic of me on a small glacier??? What about on that wedged rock in Norway??"

Sometimes I wonder why we take so long to act on fixing certain issues or life situations we are unhappy with. Example: We all have been (I am assuming) stuck in relationships or jobs that are either leaving us terribly unfulfilled, or is simply not healthy for us. Even if we are well aware of this, we consciously do absolutely nothing about it and prefer to stay stuck in that situation for months, sometimes years. Then, In order to justify our inaction, we quickly become masters at finding excuses. But who are we kidding? We are the only ones living these ordeals and others couldn’t really care less about our excuses. Let’s imagine for a sec that you eat something that you find really disgusting. Would you force yourself to eat it everyday for months or even years? Or let’s say there is a certain type of music you find really annoying and just the sound of it really aggravates you. Would you force yourself to eat it everyday for months or even years? Or let’s say there is a certain type of music you find really annoying and just the sound of it really aggravates you. Would you listen to it day in and day out for months or years and do nothing about it? Certainly not!! So why are we doing this with certain Issues…I understand they are bigger issues but why do we remain inactive..we can’t even call this our comfort zone because we are obviously not comfortable at all. I strongly suggest we make it a point to take a single step today in order to get out of this situation. Start looking for a new job, start a course, get out of that unhealthy relationship..think of something that can eventually help you get out of it. The way I see it is, we have only two options..1-Stay Inactive and remain unhappy, unfulfilled and miserable or 2-Do something today to start heading in the right direction and start feeling better today. Some will say..easier said than done but again what is easier…5 more years of unhappiness? When you think about it..the choice is clear.

Title: When the Heart Rules the Mind
I thought this title was really appropriate because I remember being really exhausted after spending the last 24 hours travelling with my friend...My mind was telling me to go to sleep but my heart definitely won the battle. So I grabbed my gear and started shooting. I just couldn't miss this amazing light. Don't worry, this is not always the case..there was plenty of times where my mind won the battle...but on these occasions, I can always count on my good old friend Double Espresso to rescue me.  Have a beautiful week everyone <3

We will never be as young as we are today my friends so lets not be afraid to act like kids..Put on your favorite song, crank it up..sing, dance, laugh, be happy and let others think you're crazy. Remaining young at heart is the key to happiness. The fear of being judged by others can prevent us from doing so many wonderful things that would makes us feel alive. Let's be fearless again, Let's be curious again, Let's act stupid again and most of all let's make sure we let our inner child out for a walk once in a while. I am pretty sure the poor little thing is tired of being caged in most of the time.

“The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and becomes nothing. He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn and feel and change and grow and love and live.” - Leo F. Buscaglia

I read that quote this morning and thought it would be the perfect fit with this old shot of mine taken way back in 2006. I know most of you have already seen this many times. A little Blast from the past for you today my G+ friends. :)

We all have our daily problems and crisis that are going on inside our heads. Over the years, I have found that it is really crucial that I stop for a second, take a deep breath and evaluate how important are all these so called problems. To what scale am I making it worst by feeding them constantly with destructive thoughts. How many times have you gone through this pattern of worrying and imagining the worst of a situation simply to realize afterwards that it wasn't so bad. Unfortunately, It is easier to find something to be miserable about...much easier than to find something to be happy for. We owe it to the thousands of people that are presently on their death beds to enjoy life to the fullest...I am pretty sure they would do anything at this moment to only worry about what we so-call our "problems". Hopefully we can all realize that before our turn comes. Maybe I am going to the extreme... more »

Hopefully we can all realize that before our turn comes. Maybe I am going to the extreme a little here but think about it for a sec... Like most previous problems, crisis or things that aggravated us in the past.. they all came and left with no critical consequences. We wasted all that precious time worrying or being angry for absolutely nothing. So, really, how important are your problems today?

Sorry for Reposting but this time via youtube for those experiencing difficulties with my previous post. Hope this helps.

For this new year we should all ask ourselves, how can I make my life better while at the same time, make other people's life better also. I personally believe that if everyone was doing what they are gifted at for at least a small part of their time/life, that the whole world would benefit from that. Too many people have amazing talents and/or aptitudes that lies dormant. I often think that we will never get to see some of the greatest artists, teachers, athletes etc. simply because these people were brought up being told what they should do by people that thought they knew what was best for them. I know this is a bit far fetch and even unreal but stop for a sec and imagine a world where everyone would be doing exactly what they were brought here to do. Wouldn't that... more »
