OK, finally caught up with the season of Doctor Who. Wow. I've kinda caught hints of this in rumours and posts on the Internet but I still did not expect the stuff that happened in the finale. Totally looking forward to the November episode now.

Just finished reading Ready Player One. I thought it was good, especially if you are into MMOs. :P I think I liked the first half more than the second half but overall still good. AND I just learned that the author actually held a contest similar to the one in the book to give away a DeLorean car lol. Nice.

* Possible SPOILER ALERT*** Just watched the end of the TV show called "Reality Show" ... lol wow. The story was just so messed up. Think about it as like Big Brother combined with the Truman Show. Some reality show producer pick a family and goes about to make a TV show based on their lives except they don't know they're on a show. The producers start doing increasingly awful things to them in order to improve ratings and to make the family 'more interesting'. I don't know if they were trying to do social commentary on 'reality shows' of today being too fake... The ending, however, was so f'in messed up. I don't often watch shows that spiral out of control that this one. lol wow.

Just saw a guy on STO who made his toon look pretty similar to Darth Maul from Star Wars ... looked even better cuz he had the christmas holiday klingon weapon with him :) Wished I had taken a screenshot.

Watched The Raid: Redemption this weekend. Very violent but very fun to watch. No real plot except for the fact that it's a police team storming a building but it's all action.

The more I watch Person of Interest, the more I feel it's like a Batman tv show :D The main character speaks in a growl/whisper all the time, the 'Alfred' character who works with him behind the scenes, the Police contacts who helps him & know his 'secret identity', and the increasing number of recurring villains on the show just like on Batman. #personofinterest

I like the new stuff that came out with the patch of Star Trek Online. I like the Mine Trap mission, feels like something that would actually happen on ST... rescuing colonists and so forth. Too bad can't devote too much time to it, what with school work and such :P

Was in a hair salon, some lady with her kids paying at the front... lady asks the girl at the counter for some candy for her kids... the lady says there isn't any candy... the mom asks "WHY?"... I'm thinking... wtf are your kids entitled to candy? Go buy them candy yourself? lol

The snowball effect is pretty crazy... All it took was one guy to send a message to the school bulletin subscription list saying something like "I wish to unsubscribe" -- and now there's dozens of others mindlessly replying to the email saying "me too", effectively spamming everyone. Seriously? No following the unsubscribe link? O_o

Been watching the MTV show Friendzone lol... the concept is people who have been best friends but then one person wants to get out of the friendzone into something more. So far, every girl who confesses her crush to the guy gets the guy (with the exception of one dude who already had a gf)... And the guys? The guys don't fare so well with probably more than half the girls saying no, walking away, or saying they just wanna be friends.

1) ignore it & pretend it didn't happen
2) agree with them so to not cause conflict, even though you don't believe it
3) say something back to oppose their view

There is a reality competition on jousting! I am watching and it looks like Ironman on horses with big ol sticks. Kinda neat I suppose.

Almost finished with the Wire. I am really enjoying it, although I found the earlier season (1-3) better than the later seasons. Once Marlo Stanfield and his antics became more prominent I felt the show started getting a little weird.
I'm also not surprised I like it either cuz this show shares a lot of the production staff & cast, not to mention the location & style for another of my fav shows Homicide :) Another thing I really enjoyed is how the whole show links together. Characters you meet in the first season show up in later ones after being gone for a while and you feel like things come together really nicely.
I'm glad people recommended this one to me :)
