Arrived in Edinburgh for tomorrow's workshop here. The last in the UK tour, it was amazing, great locations, cool students and some awesome shots thanks to +MC Nadine stephan.
Also picked up a Delkin 32gb SD card from our friends at The Flash Centre, seems to be faster in the A99 than the Sandisk 32gb. So I'm happy ;) more testing needs to be done to be sure, but it does feel a bit more "snappy" and no.... The colors aren't better ;)

Ok guys.
Now during the last few weeks I've been "hunting" for some funky M42 lenses.
Which one of you is also into these lenses, and what's your favorite one and why ?
I love the more "funky" lenses, for example the Petri 50mm 1.7 is almost becoming one of my favorite ones to shoot with, it's sharp but it's very low contrast and flares like crazy, but that's actually why I love it.

Now that we have Internet at the speed we need (soon) we are looking into options for workshops/seminars and 1:1s via Internet.
Does someone know a way to stream this without commercials ?
We now use ustream which is ok but it has commercial breaks and the paid versions are not an option yet for the simple reason we don't know how this will go.
At the moment the idea is to stream seminars and workshops to small groups of people with interaction, questions etc. cameras etc we have the only thing we need is to get it online preferable with an unique link or registration system.
Because a lot of the streaming will be free or low cost a free provider (or sponsor ;)) would be necessary.

Topaz is releasing their CLARITY, I've been playing with it and WOW, this is my new replacement for tonal contrast. I sometimes love to add a little bit of tonal contrast to images but what Topaz has now done with it is just..... well let's say it rocks.
These images were done with Clarity from Topaz and it's fast, these 60mp files were processed like it should, it does take some time but it's faster than my NIK suite so that's a good thing.
Also the preview from Topaz is now accurate (was a problem with previous versions).
Make sure to check it out, you're gonna love it for sure.
