Facebook still muddled after a year.
How many users do they need to make their stock worth it's price? 10 billion?
Or what do they have to do to keep this platform from dominating theirs in 5 years?

Solitary Confinement Cells
Weston State Hospital
Weston State Hospital operated from 1864 to 1994 in Weston, West Virginia and is recognized as the largest hand-cut masonry building in North America. This Kirkbride was originally designed to house 250 patients, but by the 1950's patient count reached 2,400. Corridors and day rooms became home to patient beds and the conditions were very poor. The hospital closed its doors in 1994 due to changes in the treatment of the mentally ill.

Boone enjoying a new shaggy little very smart friend named Gunner.
Of course, Gunner couldn't stop jumping on Boone, while Boone just tolerated it. What's crazy is that they're practically the same colors!

The prettiest eggs in the world.
I saw this group of eggs today that were home grown from their own chickens.
I've never been more impressed by a group of six eggs. :)

A healthy disregard for the impossible
Create products 10X better than the competition.
I'm motivated, inspired and take action based on so many of the things that +Larry Page says and does. Read it here: http://goo.gl/8dBU6
I've included several choice excerpts from this article / interview by +Steven Levy from Wired who covers this story exceptionally well.
Page: "It’s certainly not pleasant. But show me a company that failed because of litigation. I just don’t see it. Companies fail because they do the wrong things or they aren’t ambitious, not because of litigation or competition."
Page: "That’s why most companies decay slowly over time. They tend to do approximately what they did before, with a few minor changes. It’s natural for people to want to work on things that they know aren’t going to fail.... more »

Monetizing Hangouts
With Google's help, 'Glamour' magazine monetizes hangouts
"In the two years since its launch, publishers large and small have experimented with Google Hangout to host group video chats with well-known guests, readers and staff, hoping to engage readers and attract new followers. Now, Google is helping publishers monetize their efforts.
+Gretchen Howard, global head of sales and strategy for Google+, says this is the first time she has seen a business include product placement or any other form of advertising in a Hangout. "If this experiment works out, it will make a great case study for us and other publishers to replicate," Howard says."

Hey California.
Ban instrument panels and GPS in vehicles too. Those distract people. Too many buttons and lights.
And while you're at it, please ban driving at night. It's too dangerous.
In fact please ban all cell phones. If they ring, more trouble starts.
Thanks.

A few weeks ago at SXSW in Austin, TX, I gave developers a sneak peek at the Google Mirror API, which is what they'll use to build services for Glass. With the presentation, we set out to help developers and entrepreneurs start imagining what they could do on Glass.
The Mirror API is a cloud platform that uses OAuth 2.0 and REST as an architecture for delivering a new class of experiences to people using Glass. We walked through the basic building blocks of the API: timeline cards, menu options, share contacts, and subscriptions. We then demonstrated some early uses of the Mirror API on Glass that were built by Evernote, The New York Times, Path, and our own Gmail team.
Developing for this type of device is a little different because you’re wearing it and it’s a very intimate experience. So we also gave would-be Glass developers some recommended guidelines:
