JONATHAN CHRISTOPHER KENDALL (1962-2013)
With the greatest of sorrow I, +su ann lim , have to inform you that Jonathan Christopher Kendall, my fiancé and love of my life, died suddenly last night on 15 June 2013. Despite the incredible efforts of our friends +Suzanne Jacob +Gaynal Brierley , paramedics and ambulance personnel he could not be revived.
Jonathan lived as he believed, telling it like it is, with wit and humour, enjoying life to the hilt, with honour, directness and compassion. I was incredibly blessed to be the recipient of his immense love, and as each other's beloved, to share unbelievable happiness for too short a time. Jonathan, I LOVE YOU with all my heart and miss you desperately.

The other day, I wanted to get my 10 year old son a cell phone. I wanted to get him a tough dumb phone for making / receiving calls, and doing that slow (press number three times for one letter type). Unfortunately, the dumb phone cost just $10 less than a Galaxy S3. So, I went with the S3 and gave him my S2. I really like it, it's very quick. I'm glad that I didn't throw down an extra $100 for an S4 since this thing definitely meets all of my needs. Good stuff. So, in short, I recommend the S3. Solid phone.
As a side note, Jacob, my oldest, was incredibly excited to get a smart phone. He immediately filled it up with games. :)

I've been seeing a counter point showing up here, on Reddit, Twitter, and facebook as a backlash against people caring about the attack in Boston over deaths in Iraq. And, this is my response:
I've been seeing a lot of this viewpoint, and then I remember what happened in Oslo, and think, "go fuck yourself" to the person that brings it up.
Proximity makes a difference, as does familiarity. If my wife or kids were hurt / killed by someone, I'd lose my shit. If someone down the block was hurt or killed, I'd feel bad for a bit and then go about my day.
Tell you what, you focus your sympathy on the Middle East, and I'll focus mine on Boston. And, more personally, if one of your loved ones dies, by all means, go to their funeral and experience your grief in peace. I promise that I won't come and whisper in your ear that there are other funerals... more »
