A game theory study by Bank of America found that Italy would benefit most among big EMU states from a euro exit. It has a primary surplus, so it would not face an instant funding crisis. It has fat gold reserves, providing bond collateral that could be used to raise €400bn in a crisis. Italian household wealth is €275,200, compared with €195,200 for Germany.

Greece's government faced an internal revolt and public outrage on Wednesday over the sudden closure of state broadcaster ERT, hours after the humiliation of seeing its bourse downgraded to emerging market status.

"I'm willing to sacrifice all of that because I can't in good conscience allow the US government to destroy privacy, internet freedom and basic liberties for people around the world with this massive surveillance machine they're secretly building."

I would like to  mention this site that is doing quite a good work reviewing restaurants in the south of Sardinia. If ever happens that you travel  down there consider these site as a good source. The site is in italian  but pictures say more than words do so ..here we are. Restaurants are scored with 1 to 5 donkey for the best.  You can find also price per person for the full served menu you see in the article

Questions: 
What is the policy of the European Union on issues such as seed monopolies (Monsanto) in Europe and the world? DOES the EU have a voice in that? IF so, where does that voice talk about and with who? Or has the EU keep the mouth shut? If so, what is the meaning then to "fight" for a EU? FOOD is the base for LIFE and Monsanto takes away the future of humanity.

Astro Teller captivated the audiences at Google Zeitgeist in London last week with a talk about taking moonshots.  He said when he speaks to small start-ups they say they don't have any money, moonshots are for the big corporates; when he goes to the big corporates they say they don't take big risks, moonshots are for the small start-ups.  And when he goes to government they say, maybe check back in another 20 years.  We have to create a context for ourselves and our organizations to dare to do what seems impossible.  And once we do, there's no going back.
