+Khrystiane Friedli has created a beautiful video about the third HWSI book "How We See It...the nature of our worlds" and the Charity Print sale that co-incides with the book's release. Yesterday I received my prints from the Charity Print Sale, and they are wonderfully printed by Bay Photo. Today I received my copies of the books from Blurb books, and they are beautifully printed. Thank you to all 73 ladies involved in this third book, and the over 120 ladies who have been involved in the various HWSI projects over the past year.

Starting to feel better tonight from this cold/throat virus my son shared with me. Worked on a painting a bit today after a long much needed nap. I am trying to incorporate my ink designs into this acrylic painting. I will refine it more as I add the swirls and details, but not a bad start.

A quick post for #leavesonthursday curated by +Ray Bilcliff +Anne Durand & +Stephen Thackeray A few blossoms remained on this tree at the park the other day, but as you can see the leaves are really coming in now. Not going to be around much today, as a bit under the weather thanks to the cold/throat virus that my 16 year old son found some way to give to me for Mother's Day. For #TreeTuesday #treetuesday curated by +Christina Lawrie +Shannon S. Myers +Ralph Mendoza +Allan Cabrera & +Kim Troutman something a bit different this week. I have photographed the pine sap droplets before on this pine tree at a local park, but hadn't noticed the snubbed nose creature in the trunk of the tree before with the orangish eye, and stuff dripping from its nose and mouth. Two edits, first one is pretty much SOOC and the second a bit more dramatic.

All I can say is "Wow" my copy of the One Collection came today, and I was thrilled to see my leaf portrait in the book. I was also happy to receive the print by +Karen Hutton too. Karen, I choose your photo as +Ivan Makarov showed it as a print choice the day my Dad died, and loved trains, so to me it represents his journey home. Plus, I have another one of your prints on my wall from the HWSI print sale last Fall.

Today was a perfect example of how the How We See It books can have an affect on someone. I was a a Family ArtsFest today at a local school, and two of the students were selling a self-published book that they co-wrote with the mother about a mermaid and a pearl necklace and how the necklace did not make her beautiful, as she was already beautiful herself. I bought the book not knowing the story, but wanted to help these two beautiful young ladies raising money for the school. After I took it home I was touched by the story and how much it had in common with the messages the Ladies and I try to convey in the How We See It books (HWSI), as does our charity the NOW Love Your Body Foundation. The props fall on the ground the ground thus combining #MacroFeatherFriday with #FloralFriday +E.E. Giorgi +Eustace James & +Kiki Nelson looked on with wonder at the new cross theme. I find lilies-of-the-valley to be tough to get good photos of. I took this stem that I cut last night, into a dark room and used the ring flash to capture it, there is a bit of reflection from the mirror in the room, but getting closer to getting the photo I want of this flower. They were my mom's favorite, and we had a big patch outside our house when I was little.
