How does it feel listening to someone praying for you? Isn't it delightful and utterly precious? It is a huge blessing.  We can get a glimpse into people's hearts when praying. People don't lie before the Lord. Hence when others earnestly pray for you and your concerns...it is touching. It is uplifting. Too often we take life granted. We forget how fragile we are. We forget that we can't control everything. We forget that there are not guarantees in life. And most of all we focus on the earthly things and forget God. We flirt with the destructive things and wonder why we don't feel close to God. We are in danger of becoming enemies of the cross. Then we wonder why we do not blossom. http://www.flowingfaith.com/2014/07/bloom-with-god.html

Some people wager they will turn to God when they're on their dead bed. But do you know when you will die? I don't think so. Other folks think they can get away by misusing grace by doing whatever they want and then begging forgiveness again and again and again. What do you think? Could that work? http://www.flowingfaith.com/2014/07/sin-breaks-us.html

Both brothers of the parable of the prodigal son were unhappy with their father. They were both unable to understand their father's goodness. The younger son decided to find his happiness elsewhere - with no success. The older son stayed home but didn't know how to enjoy life with his father. They were both unable to find true happiness. Does this sound familiar?  http://www.flowingfaith.com/2014/07/inability-to-enjoy-life-with-god.html

Some people assume that God tries to take our freedom and restrict our joy. But they’ve bought the lies of the devil and they could not be further from the truth. Because God made us free. But we have been abusing the freedom by making bad choices from the start. We can choose to live without God. But then we are missing everything real, true, and free. http://www.flowingfaith.com/2014/07/everything-real-true-and-free.html

Do you live in Me-Me land? Are you only looking for self-fulfillment in this life? Or are you living for something bigger? This world around us tries to teach us to solely look after ourselves and seek self-gratification. Like that would bring us happiness and fulfillment in the long run. Have you ever made huge plans and been so excited about everything? But then your plans have unexpectedly come crashing down? I've been there, done that. At that moment, it feels like the end of the world. But just like the scripture says: 'Mortals make elaborate plans, but God has the last word' (Proverbs 16: 1, MSG,*). It might sound a bit cruel but it isn't. God's purpose is not to crash our plans but give us something better. http://www.flowingfaith.com/2014/06/put-god-in-charge.html

Do you remember the Rubiks's cube? Or "magic cube" as they also called it? Did you ever solve it? It felt it was impossible to solve it. Just like the problems we face in every day life, they seem impossible. But that's just how they look from our perspective. We can't see in the future. We don't know how things are interconnected. Do you know that you were created in Christ Jesus to do good works? We tend to forget that our sole purpose is not to please ourselves and have fun while here on earth. Even as Christians we label any talk about doing good works as legalistic or pious. But the Bible is pretty clear about this. http://www.flowingfaith.com/2014/06/our-way-of-life.html

It is important to say 'I love you' but those three words are not ones that change everything. They might change your marital status or bring otherwise happiness into your life. But the three words that I am talking about can change the eternal status of every single person ever lived. Talk about life-changing words. One of the most powerful Bible verses reveals these words that change everything. http://www.flowingfaith.com/2014/06/3-words-that-change-everything.html

Today – being Friday the 13th and all – I want to remind you to take up the shield of faith. We are saved by grace through faith. But so often we forget that through faith we also receive God’s protection.
So let’s not forget to carry our shield of faith. Because our faith in Jesus activates God’s protection for us. Every single day on our faith journey. God will protect us from all evil. Also on Friday the 13th. http://www.flowingfaith.com/2014/06/faith-friday-the-13th.html

Do you have difficulties trusting that God really loves you? Don't let that kind of doubts eat you up. Take God and his promises seriously. Because he is really serious about loving and caring for you. When you doubt God, you diminish God in your life. And when we diminish him, we diminish ourselves at the same time. Because in Him we find our true selves. Be everything God created you to be, exceptional in every sense! http://buff.ly/1mxGfbc

What do you think? Is there such a thing as one-size fits-all faith? Yes and no. Yes, because Jesus died for all of our sins and his blood covers everyone's sins.  There's nothing we can add to the work of Jesus. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus. That's why one-size-fits-all is true in faith matters. Because it is all Jesus. From start to finish is it all Jesus. And Jesus covers us all.  But.... http://www.flowingfaith.com/2014/06/one-size-fits-all-faith.html

Blaise Pascal's famous quote "Not only do we not know God except through Jesus Christ; We do not even know ourselves except through Jesus Christ" gives us a lot to ponder. It states that Christ is the only way to God. But that's not so surprising. It is one of the fundamental beliefs of Christianity. But the second part that states that we can't even know ourselves without Christ can sound a bit odd for many. How could our identity be hidden in Christ?

Nobody wants to be empty, right? Empty means poor, sad, lonely. Empty means cold, old, dead. We don’t want to be associated with those things. We don’t want to be empty. We try to fix it. But we mess up. We don't become full-filled on our own. What to do then? http://www.flowingfaith.com/2014/05/empty-enough.html

Faith is a daring adventure. It might not look like it. But that's because we can't see everything with our eyes. Like George Eliot has said it "Adventure is not outside man//It is within". The biggest battles are fought within. The greatest adventures are experienced within. http://www.flowingfaith.com/2013/05/faith-is-an-adventure.html

I think we all would like to think we are trusting God and not ourselves, right? But are you really seeking God's wisdom? Or do you end up accidentally relying on your own reasoning day after day? Too often what really happens is far from the ideal. We intend to pray but we forget. We want to read the Bible but somehow it gets dusty. http://www.flowingfaith.com/2014/05/wisdom-christian-living.html

What does following Jesus really mean? Sure, it means we’re saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and for that we give thanks to
God! But how is God calling you to follow? Because God loves and calls each and everyone of use uniquely, taking into consideration our personality and life experiences. We are not just a bunch of people to God. We are individuals with needs, desires, and dreams. http://www.flowingfaith.com/2011/05/called-to-live-in-light-2.html

Sometimes we think we need to be perfect before God can use us. We try to hide our imperfections or paint over our brokenness. We think if our lives were flawless, we would attract people to God. But that's not how it works. It's not about us. It's about the light in us. And that's what attracts people to God. http://www.flowingfaith.com/2014/05/because-of-this-light-in-us.html
