Republicans and their ilk have consistently abused the 501(c)(4) IRS status and every single person in this country knows this to be fact.
These potential violations of the law have gone on for several years now, with very little interest from the Beltway media or Capitol Hill Republicans, many of whom owe their election to spending by bogus 501(c)(4) organizations.
The real scandal has been the blatant abuse of 501(c)(4) status by dozens of lobbyists and operatives who have set up such tax-exempt organizations as political slush funds to conceal money in political campaigns. Since the Citizens United decision, 501(c)(4) groups, have operated as Super PACs—raising and spending tens of millions in corporate funds—without disclosing a dime of their contributors. This talk pulls most everything that is wrong today together into one topic: Can civilisation survive really existing capitalism? His use of really existing is appropriate, because the so called capitalism we are suffering under is a sort of mutated zombie of more democratic forms of capitalism like worker self directed companies and cooperatives.
The talk covers the oligarchic nature of the core of the US economy, Saint Alan Greenspan and how his grand plan crashed our economy, the really existing capitalist democracy or RECD (pronounced wrecked :) and how it does away with the democracy we thought we had. His conclusion is that it is unlikely civilization can survive the really existing capitalism and the sharply attenuated democracy that goes along with it. The reasons for not surviving begin with basic environmental issues and get worse from there.

A study released Wednesday said that North American frogs, toads and other amphibious animals are disappearing so quickly that they are on track to be extinct from their natural habitats by 2033. The study — which was conducted by the U.S. Geological Survey — said that these types of animal populations are disappearing at a rate of 3.7 percent per year, although certain threatened species are expected to be extinct from their natural habitats within 6 years.

"the U.S. should lower its corporate tax rate to ideally zero, but 12.5% also works." I think someone needs to remind these propagandists that Trickle Down has failed miserably, and the effective corporate tax rate in the US has fallen immensely since 1950.
