For those of you who may have just received an invite to show, or seen a post and wondered what was going on.  Here's the story.  The video attached is the promo for a pretty terrific 24 year old that is hard at work on "the road to Nashville" and I have the pleasure of working with him.  My company +Imaginif Media handles his management, PR and marketing and I thought I'd start spreading the word on G+.  We plan on doing some hangouts and such in the coming months.

He has an upcoming concert in Dublin, GA that is going to be a blast.  He is an old soul who's putting his own new twists on the classic sounds of country music.  If you love country but have been craving for that traditional sound as opposed to the more contemporary feel today then you might want to check him out.

Spent the evening viewing the Star Wars exhibit at the Orlando Science Center and though it was much smaller than I anticipated it was still super cool. But I'm a pretty huge fan so I may have just been swooning over R2D2 and the big fur ball.

He is crazy talented and one of his playlists on YouTube is called "Garrett's view" simply because he has only 10 % vision in one eye and we thought it'd be fun to share his view of the world.  All cuts in that list were recorded and uploaded by Garrett.  He has been blind since birth and many believe that he made up for it with his musicality.

He is from Phenix City, Alabama and plays in Georgia and Florida as well.    

I love his version of this song, classic yet still a new edge to it.  What do you all think?

A few days ago I posted a photo of a bird, no idea what it was other than beautiful. The great folks on G+ quickly informed me that it was a Snowy Egret and that it was endangered.  I did a quick wikipedia search and found this:

"At one time, the beautiful plumes of the Snowy Egret were in great demand by market hunters as decorations for women's hats. This reduced the population of the species to dangerously low levels."

Yikes! Just another creature that has to fight to survive because of the greed of man.  

The good news is that according to Wiki  they are "now protected in the USA by law, under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, this bird's population has rebounded". That is outstanding.

It's been a really long time since I've posted in this tag so hopefully I didn't miss anyone. And I'm posting a bit early but I will have no time tomorrow.

I wanted to share a shot that I took over the weekend in St Augustine.  I have yet to discover exactly what bird this is but it was so cool to watch him hanging out.  I was particularly excited to snag this shot clearly and not overexpose his beautiful white feathers. I'm still getting used to the magic three so for me this one really made me smile.  I hope you all enjoy!

I'm also tagging the amazing +Ron Clifford even though he's off the grid for a bit. I want to thank him especially for helping me along the way.

+Garrett Miles does a cover of Johnny Cash Folsom Prison with a little bit more punch but I think still true to the original. He considers himself very much a Classic Country artist and hopes to bring that style of music back to country.

His channel features a "Garrett's View" playlist that pretty much means no video, sound only.  Garrett was born with only 10% vision in one eye and we thought it'd be an interesting twist for people to "see" the world like he does...with his ears.

It's official

I frakkin LOVE the new myspace

The way it handles media is spectacular. Video and photos fill my screen with ease, music obviously is handled super easily and even the artist upload etc. is pretty tight.  I'm setting up one for my client right now and I've been listening to music for about 2 hours, setting up playlists etc and so far the only negative about it is that it's "on an island". Get some "outside sharing" capability and I will dump the other music listening services in a heart beat.
