Even though there a lot of small chinese shops in Seville that sell pretty much everything 24/7, there is no real chinese quarter here. This street is probably closest to be the beginning of a Sevillan Chinatown.

Yesterday was the 1st birthday of the spanish "15M" movement - a social protest against unfair politics. People came but it wasn't quite the same as one year ago. It remains interesting to be seen if this movement has a future or if it will slowly die like so many before.

Last week was the "Feria de Abril" en Seville. It is a huge festivity here. Basically the whole town stops normal life and is spending a whole week dancing Sevillanas. Here are 4 first impressions, all of them women, all quite different but each one with her own beauty.

Street vendor form above. Today on offer: sunglasses imitates and burned dvds. See the strings that come from the corners of each sheet and meet in the middle? They are there to pick everything up within a second and run from the police whenever they decide it is time again to raid the scene.

When at least two people come together to drink their previously purchased alcoholic drinks and talk, have fun, relax, or otherwise spend time together it is called a "Botellón" in Spain. Eventhough those are forbidden by now, you will see them regularly in the south of Spain by all kinds of people. In this case two immigrants in deep conversation.

Re-share for all the new followers.
This was basically my first real photo project. What you see in this album is a bunch of garbage carts from people who have made collecting garbage their job.
Here in the South of Spain you can really see the financial crisis and some people have been forced to start living from what others throw away. They use carts based out of spare parts and old stuff they find and then walk the streets all day long trying to find something either useful or with reselling value.

I never go out with a purpose to shoot something special. Mood, weather and surroundings dictate what photos are going to be taken. Turned out today was a day to play with the shadows at Plaza Nervión in Seville. I can't decide which of the 3 I like best, so you get all 3 instead of 1. Hope you like them.
