Just saw Star Trek Into Darkness this morning.
Loved it! I can't say much because I don't like to spoil anything. But I loved it.

I love it all. I love the old original series. I love The Next Generation. I love Voyager. I've seen every film, even the really truly bad ones. I've even read some of the novels.
And I don't care in the remotest sense of the word about any changes or alterations Abrams' has made. I love that he's made it more "user-friendly" and more relatable to everyone. I love that these new films are bringing in new fans. I love it.
Besides, there is so muc... more »

Something different to share.
This is from the the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists. Today's world has over 7 billion people, but what if you took all the data and condensed it down to 100 people? The image below provides a summary of what our world looks like, and Europe only accounts for 11% of the global population.

For Douglas’s sake, don’t forget your towel today! 5/25/12is not just the annual Towel Day to honor the genius of Douglas Adams, but Super Towel Day (5 + 25 + 12 = 42!!!!) A day that won’t recur for another …century, when the cosmic solution to life, the universe, and everything just may be revealed. Why a towel? It is, after all …. “the massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. Partly it has great practical value – you can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapours; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a mini raft down the slow heavy river Moth; wet it for use in hand-to-hand combat; wrap it round your head to wardoff noxious fumes or to avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugb... more »
