It's been a crazy morning already! Usually I sleep in until about 8:30 on Monday morning, and then check out a couple of tweets from really lovely fans of the Monday Brief (and then read a couple YouTube comments to help wash that happy feeling away, haha).

I want to talk about this, because I find it really rude... and honestly, a little wtf. I've been well aware of this issue, because I've been told the EXACT same thing (I used to model). 

This girl is beautiful. She's 5'10" and is a size 12/14 (16/18 in the UK). She's been recently featured in an H&M campaign, and a lot of people noticed she wasn't waif thin. 

She's now been talking about her experiences as a model, and that at one point, she was told she had two options in the modeling world:

1. Lose weight (the standard) and drop to a size 4 to have a successful career as a standard model; or

2. GAIN weight and get up to size 10 (or more) to have a successful career as a plus sized model.

I love when people give me armchair direction like, "Be less hammy in your videos. Be more yourself!"

It's as if people can't reconcile that some people are naturally goofy. I've always been that way, and always will be. And yes, sometimes it comes off as awkward on camera, but are you so critical of what you're watching that you're willing to demand a person change who they are? 

Clearly, you have no idea who I am, internet person. I'm literally made of ham and cheese.

Oddly enough, I do not like the 2-column layout at all, but feel right at home in the 3-column layout. 

+Wil Wheaton, I know you're testing out the new stuff, and it might help to zoom your browser out to grab that 3-column layout. I don't know why, but it's WAY easier on my eyes. Perhaps because it's easier to see more posts at a glance on the page?

As I'm refreshing my G+ page every minute or so, I was suddenly reminded of calling into a radio station to win a prize. 

There's that moment when the page takes just a second longer to load, and your heart leaps -- and then you have the same old page. It's a lot like calling in, getting the phone to ring instead of a busy signal, and then the operator tones hit, followed by "We're sorry. This number is busy. Please hang up and try your call again."
