Här kommer en sammanfattning av min diskussion med Radiotjänst om huruvida innehavet av en dator med internetuppkoppling gör en skyldig att betala TV-avgift. Postar som public för alla som önskar följa.

Okej vänner, idag fick jag besök från en herre från Radiotjänst. Dom anser att jag behöver betala TV-avgift då jag äger en dator med internetuppkoppling (jag äger alltså ingen TV). Jag påpekade att lagen (prop. 2005/06:112 s. 92) säger:

"För att bedömas som en TV-mottagare bör emellertid den tekniska utrustningen vara avsedd [med betoning på avsedd] för att ta emot TV-program även om utrustningen också kan användas för annat ändamål."

I dag hänger jag på Stockholm Internet Forum. Carl Bildt har pratat sig varm om nätfrihet. Jag vet då inte... När han sa att vi aldrig får låta rädsla bli en anledning att inskränka rättigheter, så blev jag lite trött. Det är ju tyvärr exakt det vår regering gör hela tiden. Gapet mellan fina ord och handling är som vanligt för stort för min smak.

Many of you know part of my May Charity challenge is to donate $1 to charity for every new follower on G+ I got.  I have three well deserving charities that I will be paying $ to already.

I keep getting questions about why I'm in a wheelchair, why I have lupus, and I have never fully addressed them; so here you go: a complete explanation. It's a bit TL;DR, but if you think it's long to read it, imagine how long it was for me to live it.

A brief nap can not only reduce sleepiness but also improve cognitive functioning and psychomotor performance (the brain telling the body to move). A few minutes of shut-eye also considerably enhances short-term memory and mood.

Brief naps taken in the early afternoon, at about 2pm, have a greater recuperative value than when taken at any other time of the day.

While the anxiety issues are only slightly better, I still want to move forward. I'm not a 100% sure what my body and soul is trying to tell me with it, yet I have a huge need to not be passive. That means that I will try a small todo list this week. Things I already knew I would try to accomplish, but to help me remember then easier.

None of it is set in stone, it's more of a general guideline.

In my continued experiment with +Flattr, I stumbled on a page that shows unclaimed flattrs (that means microdonations that have been made to artists who are not yet using the service). This is free money for these folks! +Thomas Hawk, +Lotus Carroll were the first names that jumped out at me, but I am sure many active plussers could benefit from checking this out.

Don't worry guys - God's pretty crafty and will figure something out if he has to. Frankly it shocks me that people can't hear the absurdity of what they suggest. All it takes it looking at a situation from a new perspective to see that these one-line "God will..." quotes are pretty frickin' inclusive. While I'm sure some people will continue to think that marriage is only about procreation, I'm happy to see the definition of family evolving in the majority of people. Can't stop progress.... :)

Having been a 'male' programmer and now a female one, I can definitely agree with this article. It's amazing how much gender seems to matter in an area where it's only about your brain, not which genitals you have.

Back when I was supposedly male people around me seemed to find it normal for me to be intelligent, technical and capable. After changing gender roles, suddenly people seem amazed that I'm not an emotionally insecure, non-technical person, only thinking about make-up and making little babies.

The article also underlines the need to be just 'really good' at what we do as female programmers to show that we are capable. Just toughing it out, even when some dirty old guy is telling you how pretty you look and touching you a few times too often.

It's okay to take a shower after such a horrible experience, though :)

I'm currently experiencing first hand the concept of internet bubbles.

My last blog post is scoring really well on Reddit (quickly making the frontpage of the Futurology subreddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/Futurology/comments/1ej0n6/the_fight_for_eclothing/ )


But, at the same time, the post is nearly not shared on twitter, G+ or Facebook and it has received very few flattrs.


A few weeks ago, I experienced the opposite : a blog post very quickly got to 20 flattrs but without many Facebook/Twitter/G+ sharing.

It really looks like different tools are used by a different category of people with very few interaction.
