Broadgate Tower

Reaching 541ft into the sky behind Liverpool Street station in London,  this is the 4th tallest building in the city.

Four years ago, I did my first bungy jump. Two years ago, I did a solo jump from an aeroplane. One year ago, I took the photo on this page from the top of Kings Reach Tower. This year, I needed a new challenge. I love standing on sky scraper roof tops. I love the different pespective you get from viewing the city from such great heights. But sliding down the side of one with a rope? That is a new level for me. 

So, stand back, batman, spiderman, window cleaners.... because I am going to slide down 33 stories of glass.  The Broadgate Tower is a skyscraper in London's main financial district, the City of London. It is currently the fourth tallest building in the City of London. It's 540 feet from the top to the bottom. I am aiming to raise £1 per foot on the way down.

Isolette

This is one of my small collection (so far) of vintage cameras - an Agfa Isolette I. Dating from the 1950s, this little beauty is older than me, but in better condition. :)

One of the most fun times to shoot at a wedding, for me, is after the formal first dance and when I have officially finished. This is when the bride can really let her hair down and enjoy herself, as Liz is doing here. When the bass player jumped down from the stage, I was able to capture this lovely moment. By the way, if you are looking for a live band for a UK wedding, then I can definitely recommend these guys. They are called the Tzars and they were brilliant!

Besides being an extremely talented fine art photographer and architect, +Julia Anna Gospodarou is one of the many new friends that Sally and I met on that awesome weekend in Berlin back in May this year, for the first G+ European Photowalk, so it was great for us to be able to catch up with her over dinner when she was in London recently. We also found time to shoot a few buildings and, while wandering around the city, I grabbed this quick portrait as well. Of course, being Julia, it had to be in black & white. :)

Here's a favourite of mine from a recent wedding. It's rare to be able to capture this moment because the bride's pre-wedding meeting with the registrar usually happens behind closed doors. This one happened on the landing outside the hotel bedrooms. I included the clock on the wall in the frame as it tells the story of how the bride was fashionably late.
