After Katrina, on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, various schools and church groups would set up tents and feed people and give them bottles of water.  I wish I could afford to do something like that and just drive to each needed area for a day or two.

Applying Skills

Do you have a set of skills that don't translate directly into a job opportunity or fit a job description?  Maybe they are vague or complimentary but would be a great benefit to a company.

It's frustrating to know that you are capable of much more than the opportunities you're presented or can find.  Until then, we keep plugging along and hope for the best.

Drama

So a few days ago, I got fed up with a few friends whose FB updates were constantly nothing but drama.  I took a few minutes to compose a message for all and, judging by the "likes" and other comments (publicly and privately) it's been taken very well.

A few weeks ago, two posters highlighted a very bizarre finding on Google Plus. That your profile's gender specification (Male, Female, Other) influenced the content you saw in the former Explore and What's Hot tabs respectively.

Google's Chief Architect offered feedback that the  Explore tab was using an older, more gender sensitive algorithm, however the What's Hot tab had been modernised, with gender as a factor, but not a big one. According to Horiuchi graphic programs are too expensive, but Excel came with his computer. Interesting Search Result

As I was researching something I came across an interesting SERP.  *Search for "Guns don't kill people"*.  On the right you get the large Wiki article for the NRA however, the Wiki page doesn't list that quote anywhere on its page.

Normally you see these types of search results (big wiki placement) when looking for specific subjects but not necessarily when an idea is associated with a subject.
