Hello G+! I know that a few weeks ago I said that I was going to get back into the swing of things, but it's just been crazy with both work and photography lately that I've found little time for anything I feel like! I did just get back from New York City on Friday, where I spent a week shooting at the MLB Network as well as in and around Manhattan. This shot was taken from the piers in Hoboken, where I was staying during my trip. Many more to come!

Good morning everyone! So I've had a bit of a break from G+ but I should be back in full force now, with plenty of pictures to share! This is one that I took early on a Saturday morning a few weeks back, just as the sun was coming over the horizon!

With baseball season fast approaching I wanted to share a shot that I took during a Pittsburgh Pirate game last year. This one is of Joel Hanrahan, the Pirates' closer, as he finishes a game against the Baltimore Orioles. I had been wanting to try this multiplicity for a while and finally sat at the right angle to do it!

Good morning and happy Monday everyone! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend! Since we got quite a bit of snow overnight in Pittsburgh, I thought that I would share a shot from a snow storm that we got earlier in the year. I had made my way up to the Duquesne Incline to get some shots of the city when this snow squall came tearing up the Ohio River, covered the town with snow and left. It was quite a sight to see! Here you can see the storm as it leaves the city.

This is one of my new favorite shots of the city of Pittsburgh that I just took last night! I was leaving a happy hour when I decided to swing by the North Shore and take look at the skyline and even though I didn't have my tripod, I used my wallet, a pack of gum and my camera strap to balance it on the ledge for the brackets!
I hope that you all have a great weekend!

Today's shot is from my trip to New York City last year. It can be difficult when photographing places that are as photographed as the Brooklyn Bridge to find new angles, but that doesn't mean that I wasn't going to take any shots! I actually had to wait a few minutes for a car to come by so that I could include it in the scene!

Well, we finally come down from the 64th floor of the Steel Building today and head up to the 6th floor of the a parking garage in downtown Pittsburgh for this shot of Market Square and PPG Place last Thursday night. I really like this view for the wide range of colors that you can see, from the green building on the right to the warm glow of the street lights to the purple sky, there's so much to look at more!

Just one more shot of the demolition of the Civic Arena (well, for now at least!) This is another one from the roof of Steel Building in downtown Pittsburgh. You can see that there really is little left inside, just a handful of seats and some crumbling concrete. Really sad to see such an iconic building like this!

Hello everyone! I hope that you all are enjoying your Saturday! Just wanted to share a quick upload for today from the North Shore of Pittsburgh. I usually shoot this location on a wide angle but threw on the telephoto for this one. Enjoy!

So yesterday I had the awesome opportunity to make it up (legally) to the top of the tallest building in Pittsburgh, the U.S. Steel Tower, or Steel Building as it is called in the 'Burgh. The views were just amazing. I wanted to at least share one, but there are many more to come!

For today's shot we head back to the North Shore of Pittsburgh for a view of the Pittsburgh skyline and the Andy Warhol Bridge. The Allegheny River was moving fairly quickly that night, so I wasn't able to get the nice crisp reflections, but I still really liked all the colors that the city lights produced!

I was debating sharing this one just because it might not be the most interesting photo to those of you not from Pittsburgh or who aren't entirely sure what it is, but I felt like it is important to post. This is the Civic Arena, or what is left of it, former home of the Pittsburgh Penguins, as the demolition continues of the iconic sports arena. This was taken last night from the new home of the Pens, CONSOL Energy Center.
You can see more shots of the Arena here: http://hdrexposed.zenfolio.com/portfolio

With Spring Training kicking off and the baseball season just a month and a half away I thought that I would share one of PNC Park, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates. I took this one a few years back with a fisheye borrowed from +Peter Talke on one of his visits to the 'Burgh! We took the tour of the stadium and this is the view from the press box.

Good morning and happy Monday everyone! First off I wanted to say a big welcome and thank you to all my new followers, as I added about 500 over the weekend and now am over 10,000!
This shot is from my brother's office during his summer internship in 7 World Trade Center. The view was just amazing and if you look closely you can see a speck of the Empire State Building in the distance!

Something a little different today! This is a shot that I took about two years ago with my old Canon S90 of the Rex Theater in the South Side of Pittsburgh (I've now upgraded to the S95). The RAW image format on these cameras can give a bit of a fisheye look, which I think worked here! Did a little selective coloring to spice it up!
I hope that you all enjoy your weekend!

Back to New York we go today for a shot of the Brooklyn Bridge! I was doing some housekeeping in Lightroom and found some unprocessed brackets of the Brooklyn Bridge that I just couldn't resist working on! I know that I've posted a few shots of the bridge before, but it's one of my favorite places to photograph in New York. Well, pretty much anywhere in New York is my favorite place to photograph!

With the Pittsburgh Penguins on a bit of a roll lately and Evgeni Malkin leading the charge, I thought that I would share a shot I took of the NHL's leading scorer a few months back. This was in pregame warm ups and I was able to catch him looking right into the camera!

I don't think that I've ever uploaded a candid to Google+, so here we go! I took this one last Friday night in the South Side of Pittsburgh. There are a lot of bars, restaurants, tattoo parlors, but not a lot of people reading books on the sidewalk!
You can see more from my photowalk that night on my blog!

Good morning! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend! Today's shot is another one from Allegheny Cemetery where I visited a few years back with +Michael Criswell . It was the perfect day to go there, as the beautiful fall colors provided the perfect background for the cemetery!

Happy Friday everyone! Today's post is another one from the little bit of snow that we got the other day. I was strolling around, camera in hand, on the street around the corner from our house when I saw this road where the trees were almost covering it like a canopy. Couldn't resist the shot!

Something a little different from me today! This is probably one of the least processed shots that I've posted in a long time, one that I took last night during the dusting of snow that we had. This leaf was one of just a few hanging on against the wind and the snow on a tree outside our house. I used VSCO for the processing on this as well.

How about a little fisheye fun this morning? This is a shot of the old home of the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Civic Arena, which is in the latter stages of its demolition. The famous domed roof has been caved in on one side, which is sad to see, as it was such an iconic building! I took this one last summer while on a photowalk with +Zach Frailey .

For today's shot we head up to Buffalo, New York for a shot of the pong at Delaware Park. We were in town last year for a wedding and had some time to kill before the reception started, so we thought we would take a little tour of the area and stumbled upon this park. The clouds made for some great reflections!

Good morning everyone! For today's shot we head back to New York, where I'll be in early April for work on a shoot with the MLB Network! Just got the confirmation at the end of last week and I'm really excited for it! This is down at the South Street Seaport at night, one of my favorite places to shoot in New York. I masked in some of the longer exposures to get some of the people moving around in the scene!

A football themed shot just seemed appropriate for today, seeing as it is Super Bowl Sunday! Here is an image of Cowboys Stadium early on the Saturday morning that we were in Arlington back in November. The sun had just come up over one of the corners of the stadium and I was in the perfect place to capture the sunflare!
I hope that you all enjoy the game today! Since I don't really have a preference towards the New England Patriots or New York Giants, it will be fun to kick back, relax and watch the game!

WIth snow falling today and more int he forecast, I thought that it might be appropriate to share one from last winter. During one of the many snow storms we got last year I was walking around my neighborhood when I discovered this little path between a couple of houses.

I thought for sure that I had uploaded this picture a long time ago, but I couldn't find it anywhere in my albums, so seeing as it is one of my favorite pictures from the North Shore in Pittsburgh, I wanted to share it! This was taken a few years back, on a frigid winter night. The water wasn't quite as still as I would have liked, but the reflections turned out pretty cool none the less!

So the first time that I ever tried to capture lighting was on our honeymoon at Couples Sans Souci in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. It was the last night that we were there and we could see the storm off in the distance while we were eating dinner, no rain, just lightning. I set up my tripod and managed to get two lightning strikes in the same shot! I actually liked the way that the trees framed the strikes as well too! I know that it's no +Mike Olbinski lightning strike, but for a first time attempt, I was happy with the result!

For today's shot we jump back a season to fall with a shot from Allegheny Cemetery in Lawrenceville, just outside of Pittsburgh. +Michael Criswell came into town for the day to do some shooting and we were lucky to have some beautiful weather! This is near the top of the cemetery, by one of the larger mausoleums. Threw in a sunflare for good measure as well!

A little fun with fisheye today! I took this shot a few years back with the help of +Peter Talke fisheye at the University of Pittsburgh! I am standing in the doorway of Heinz Chapel looking towards the iconic Cathedral of Learning and I was really happy with the way that the doors framed the building!

For today we head out of the snow and into the summer, when I took this shot last year. This is a 9 shot pano/vertorama, with each shot being a seven image HDR for a total of 63 shots in this image. I was up on top of a parking garage just as the sun was setting and it peaked out long enough for me to grab these shots!

I've been on a bit of a black and white kick lately and this one seemed like the perfect candidate for it! I took this during the snow storm that we had in Pittsburgh over the weekend of a bench that I previously shot in the summer and I think that it may be my favorite shot from the weekend!

Well, it's been a few days since my last upload, just had a bit of a busy go of it! This is a shot from early on Saturday morning during the snow storm that we got over the weekend. The sky had this awesome pinkish purple tone to it and it was snowing so hard that you could barely even see the tops of the buildings!

I don't think that I've added a B&W shot for a while, so here is one from the North Shore of Pittsburgh, early in the morning before Christmas. The reflections were all over the place, even in the little puddle in the foreground, that it made for such a great shot!

Heading back into Pittsburgh today for a shot from the North Shore. You know, of all the times that I've been down to this little Boardwalk area, I've never seen anyone sit on these benches. Which is good for me so that I can get pictures without some pesky people in the way! Took this during a cloudy morning with +Zach Frailey when he was in town over the Christmas holiday!

I thought that I would switch it up a bit today! I took this shot after a rain storm of some rain drops on top of my uncle's 1986 Camara. I really like the slight reflections of the blue sky and clouds as well as the purplish tones. The way that the bokeh looked though is what made the shot for me!

Sticking with the warm weather theme, today we have a shot from Punta Cana, where we vacationed about four years ago, back when I only had my little D40! I got up early one more to catch the sunrise, which was just incredible, as the light beams cut a triangle through the clouds!

Something a little different this morning! I took this as we were flying to Jamaica for our honeymoon a few years back. Not sure exactly where we were, but I know that we had just taken off! There were so many layers of clouds and the light was hitting it so many different ways, I wouldn't help but grab a shot!
