My two-week review of Google Glass: it all depends on the price

This week I gave five speeches while wearing it.
I passed through airports four times (two more in a couple of hours).
I let hundreds of people try my Google Glass.
I have barely taken it off since getting it other than to sleep.

Here's my review after having Google Glass for two weeks:

1. I will never live a day of my life from now on without it (or a competitor). It's that significant. 
2. The success of this totally depends on price. Each audience I asked at the end of my presentations "who would buy this?" As the price got down to $200 literally every hand went up. At $500 a few hands went up. This was consistent, whether talking with students, or more mainstream, older audiences.

Terror in our Toyota! Sure looks like the Electronic Throttle Control got stuck, huh? Another case of "UNINTENDED ACCELERATION?" My wife was only able to control the car with the PRNDL - 3 teenage girls in the car with her and just pulling into a neighbor's driveway to pick-up during carpool! This could happen to you! The car was totaled, the home has sever damage, and a car inside the home was totaled out and another damaged. Toyota's response: "...no evidence of any sort of manufacturing or design defect..." You look at this video and decide for yourself!

Google Babel Feature List

Oh look, more Babel news ;) Droid-Life brings us a feature break down this time including eventual support for Google Voice. That's huge. Many people were saddened when Google Voice wasn't mentioned during the first batch of news reports.

I don't know a bout you, I can't wait for this service to launch. Is it #IO13 yet?

*Turn on your "Send Message" button on your profile*
I have been seeing a lot of profiles with this setting turned off. Originally it was on by default in beta which was really helpful but now I believe it is off if you have a new profile.

What this setting does, is that it allows someone who is viewing your page to send you a direct message on Google+ without having to go back to the main stream and type in your name manually. So the only thing this is adding is convenience. :)

Here is how to turn it on:

1. On your profile, click the gear then Settings
2. Scroll down and check the box to allow users to send you a message 
3. Go back to Google+ and the message icon will now be on your profile
4. Clicking it on someone's profile will just send a direct message to them on Google+, not their email.more »

Some profile & page improvements, per your request

We spend lots of time listening to your feedback, and today we're launching some profile and page updates that you've been asking for. These include:

- A new tab for your Local reviews. In addition to your photos, +1's and YouTube videos, there's now a place for all your Local reviews. Highlight your favorite restaurants, or hide the tab completely via settings -- it's completely up to you.

- An easier way to edit your info. The 'About' tab now consists of separate cards (like Story, Places, and Links) -- each with its own prominent edit link. As always: you can share specific fields with specific circles, or keep them just for you.

- Bigger cover photos, with a better aspect ratio. Cover photos are much larger than before (up to 2120px by 1192px), and they display in 16x9... more »
