Unfortunately I didn't have a better lens, but I hit the jackpot on coming across some bald eagles today. There were ten total eating something out on the frozen lake with some seagulls. Absolutely spectacular sight! My first time seeing the magnificent birds in the wild.

Down Congress
I was going through some old images and stumbled across this old post. I thought I would give it another share (since its lost in the pile)

My former stomping ground. I took this shot from the roof of the Hilton on Congress Ave.
Turns out I spent a bunch of time taking pictures from roofs in Austin and I am scared to death of heights.
I guess HDR is just kinda in the Austin blood wouldnt ya say +Trey Ratcliff.
Hey for those interested, a very good friend +Gino Barasa shoots HDR and more in Austin. Take a look at his work. He is probably one of the best shooters in Austin and a REAL NICE guy.

C, E-flat, and G go into a bar. The bartender says, "Sorry, but we don't serve minors." So E-flat leaves, and C and G have an open fifth between them. After a few drinks, the fifth is diminished, and G is out flat. F comes in and tries to augment the situation, but is not sharp enough. D comes in and heads for the bathroom, saying, "Excuse me; I'll just be a second." Then A comes in, but the bartender is not convinced that this relative of C is not a minor. Then the bartender notices B-flat hiding at the end of the bar and says, "Get out! You're the seventh minor I've found in this bar tonight." E-flat comes back the next night in a three-piece suit with nicely shined shoes. The bartender says, "You're looking sharp tonight. Come on in, this could be a major development." Did you know you can walk right up to Lava? I discovered this on my recent hike to an active Volcano on the Big Island in Hawaii. The slow-moving lava flow is hot, but you can get right next to it... literally within inches. I was about 2 feet away when I took this long-exposure shot. Kilauea is the most active volcano in Hawaii, go see it if you can, it's something you'll never forget! I'm headed back to Hawaii today and am thinking of heading out there to see the Volcano again!

Going all out in Death Valley
Some say Sunrise is the best time for Zabriskie point and some say sunset.
I say bring a couple friends hike 30 minutes closer to the "Manly Beacon" and then work some lighting magic. And then NIGHT becomes the best time to shoot.
That's +roma g lighting the tip and me a couple hundred feet away to the left with the Monster flashlight lighting the rest.
