Hi there everyone, I'm Eric from Malaysia. Once again thank you +BA Nelson for inviting me into this community. I'm quite new in this category of photography, think somewhere mid of this year that street photography capture my attention. It's not easy either to venture into it in my case. I had to overcome my own fear of shooting unknown stranger in front of camera and on-and-off I do get some weird stare from the people in front of my lens. Nevertheless once capture, it's the 'moment' that cannot be rescript. I hope to learn more from you all here and also to share my own. Last but not least, I'll share some photos which I took while in Melacca awhile back. Apologize in advance that I'm sharing the album in my G+ and not single photo cause I am in oversea right now.

I've picked up HDR photography not long after I had my first camera few years back and currently, I'm shooting with a 5D Mk II. For post-process, I will go either with photomatix or CS6.

I was dispatched to this beautiful islands to work for about a month, based in Honiara, Makira province.
I have to confess here that it was my very first time trying my hands on street photography in a totally new place. Throughout the midst of shooting, I just have this feeling of hostility from the locals there. No, they did not come over to me to question my purpose nor did they harm me physically. What I got was, the locals would stare at me the whole time seeing me with a camera.
I wouldn't say this country is under-develop nor would I say it is develop either. It's under-develop based on the fact that there are locals who goes about their everyday life without wearing a sandal or shoe. It's consider develop because this country have 3G connection.
As for the exchange rate, it was to my advantage as their value is lower. However, the inflation is 3x hi... more »
