Well, hello there peeps. Just wanted to say hi to all my beautiful souls this side on the net tonight. Hope all is well. If not, can I throw a merengue pie at it and make it better?
Keep dancing even if there's no music.

World Book Night, 2013.
I gave out a total of 20 The Phantom Tollbooth and 10 copies of this months Poetry magazine to people in the park, kids surgical waiting room, and random teenagers around my neighborhood.
World Book Night is a nonprofit organization that gives away free books via volunteers (like me😃) as givers to light or non readers. It's really cool to see people's face---"What do you mean free?" And the meaning of what a book can bring. On Shakespeare's birthday and death this day was celebrated by many giving people a book and a flower.
Sweet.

Have a blessed Good Friday. For me, that means so many things to my own spirituality and heart. I am thankful that HE has risen for me. Many people around the world celebrate differently, while others mark the end of Holy Week on more quieter terms. Whatever way you may have celebrated if you do, be blessed today and I send you nothing but love from me to you.

There really needs to be a way to consolidate all the reshares of the same post(s) I see in my home stream. Put them in one place, under one post or something. Or at least let me "mark as read" as I scroll so I wont see the same damn post over and over and over again. Dont tell me to mute all the friggin posts either. Too time consuming. The monotony of it all will drive one insane in the membrane. #feedback

Shameless (UK) intro
Tickets this way for the Chatsworth Express
Come and watch pikeys making a mess
Of the lives they were given by him upstairs
And kids they're convinced aren't actually theirs
What sound on earth could ever replace
Kids needing money and wives in your face
Cause this, people reckon, and me included,
Is why pubs and drugs were kindly invented
To calm us all down, stop us going mental
These are Chatsworth Estate's basic essentials
We are worth every penny, we're grinding your axes
You sit on our head, but you pay the taxes
Imagine a Britain without Chatsworth buccaneers
We'll come on your face for the price of a beer
Make poverty history, cheaper drugs now

The amount of disrespect, hate, and ridicule that I've seen on G+ in regards to someone's faith, religion, or lack of is purely disgusting. Do better, people. It's okay to have an opinion or discussion about anything-but keep the arguments intelligent and at least understand that we all may not have the same thoughts or opinions, but we can talk about them respectfully.
Respect.

Know Thy History: Laura Ingalls Wilder
Not only is American Author Wilder known for the Little House on the Prairie, she was a pioneer woman, teacher, and columnist. She traveled a total of 650 miles in a six week journey after her family faced hardships of crop failures, a house burned down, and losing an infant son. She chronicled her journey---journal style, penciling in every detail from settings to the places and people encountered moving from South Dakota to Missouri. Her daughter Rose added introductions to the journals and typed up the pieces many years later, and published it in the year 1962 "On the Way Home."

Artist of the Day: Paul Gaugin
As a painter, sculptor, ceramicist, wood-worker, and writer---Gaugin was an Artist in the truest sense. Known for his use of bold colors, sadly, most of his works became popular posthumously. He was also friend of Van Gogh and influential to his works although they quarreled but remained in touch. Born in 1848 in Paris, he died in 1903.
You can see Gaugins works at +Google Art Project http://www.googleartproject.com/search/?q=Gaugin

Love, is the reason why. Sweet miraculous love. The friendship of it. The amorous soul bare indication of truth. The beauty found when a stranger gives another a random act of kindness without a need for reciprocation. It is the motivation and end all for some in this lifetime and the next. The omega and beginning. From our first breath we require it to sustain life, and perish without it's touch. It defeats all things and believes all things and never fails. Never dies, for it is immortal within its own birthright.
Love, is the reason why.

Big book sites focus on "free" but +Amazon.com is now changing its policies. Let me ask some hard questions here, if you may. Play Devils advocate. Perhaps this is a good thing in the long run? We don't have to race to the bottom to drive "sales" to be the leaders on those boards, but actually charge a price that the book is worth. Everyone wants free. Everyone wants something for nothing. Indie writers suffer because of the myth that their book has to be free or $0.99. How about a discount instead of being totally free? Yes, I know it creates buzz to give something away for free. Yes, I know your ranking on Amazon then goes up higher for "sales" but you really didnt sell anything. Yes, you gained publicity and marketing, but how many of those people purchased your other books or were just complete cheapos? You words have value, your work has value.

The Big, Fat, Share your favorite SEINFELD quote or episode
Me? I love the Soup Nazi. That never gets old. I also love when George goes around saying he's an architect and works for Vandelay Industries and "I would drape myself in velvet if it were socially acceptable." Elaine has her quirks too. Remember that friggin "urban sombrero"? Good grief. Jerry must have broken up with hundreds of chicas over the most shallowest things. He got major laughs from me when he damn near beat up an old lady over a loaf of marble rye. Gotta love that. 😁 Kramer? Lets not get started on him. Between putting blood in a car, feeding beans to a horse, beating up kids in a karate class...well, he's priceless.
This show will always be my favorite sitcom. The show about nothing has the elements of everything.

Free for iOS this week PLANTS VS. ZOMBIES
Available for both iPhone, iTouch, and iPad, the strategy game is a must have. Save yourself the $6.99 for the glorious retina display version if you have one of those new iPads and beat the game, and go all gusto and unlock all the mini games and even try to find the elusive zombie yeti. This game is a must own, and I don't regret purchasing the title one bit, and am glad seeing it go free so others can grab the title to enjoy it.

Free Public Domain Ebook of the Day: The Great Gatsby
Synopsis:
The Great Gatsby is a novel by the American author F. Scott Fitzgerald. First published on April 10, 1925, it is set on Long Island's North Shore and in New York City during the summer of 1922. The novel takes place following the First World War. American society enjoyed prosperity during the "roaring" 1920s as the economy soared. At the same time, Prohibition, the ban on the sale and manufacture of alcohol as mandated by the Eighteenth Amendment, made millionaires out of bootleggers. After its republishing in 1945 and 1953, it quickly found a wide readership and is today widely regarded as a paragon of the Great American Novel, and a literary classic. The Great Gatsby has become a standard text in high school and university courses on American literature in countries around the world, and is ranked second... more »

Speaking to all Graphic Design/Graphic Artists out there: tell me a little bit about your career path from education to internships to employment. Do you like what you do, and is this career versatile? Hard to break into? Any regrets? Any advice to someone getting into the field, and what would you recommend or do over if you had a time machine?

Her Scar
BY PETER SPAGNUOLO
Remember me: the murmuring lips half said
in half-light, buried in the hollow
a boy’s neck made, as now inside his head
they stir again, though twenty years swallow
the purest parts of her, all but her plea,
this taunt—what act from him could it command?
The boy who’d know is gone—Re-member me—
but what man can assemble limbs, make stand
again those legs that twined in his, or hitch
the yoke of hips to sway and resurrect
a girl? I try, but only recollect
her scar—each lewd, profaning, cautered stitch—
vermiform, red, furrowed belly to breast:
where nights, long past, he’d laid his head in rest.

Free Ebook of the Day: Pride and Prejudice Zombies.
This interactive ebook is quite unique: hold your iOS device one way, and it reads the original Jane Austen story. Turn it upside down, and a zombified version will appear. Of course you can read both versions side by side too. The interactive book holds original music, touch controls, and more. Clear some room though; the app is 579 MB. Think I'll read and delete, to keep it in the cloud.
