Congressional privacy concerns, Google's Glass
If there was anyone that you'd expect to know a little about the law it'd be the US Congress, I mean they pass the darn things right? Before we get all crazy and up in arms about the Congressional letter to Google let's establish what the laws on video and audio recording in public actually are.
Video
The recording of video in public without consent is completely legal unless there is an expectation of privacy or if the video recording interferes with public officials trying to carry out their duties.
Audio
The recording of audio, without at least "one party" consent, is almost always illegal.

Sometimes it feels like people complain just because they want to complain.
See many people all over Google+ being disappointed that there was no Android 4.3 or 5.0 announced at the Google I/O 2013.
Not a single one is actually complaining about any missing features or what they would like to see in future Android releases. They only complain about the version number.
Seriously people ... don't just look at the version number.
Instead, talk about what you need / want in features and functions and design.
Being dissappoined that a certain version number was not released without knowing what is planned in a future release is outright stupid ...
Use your time and energy to come up with new designs, features, functions, apps, settings etc. etc. which could improve the Android experience.

About 14 years ago, I got a bad cold, and my voice became hoarse. At the time I didn’t think much about it. But my voice never fully recovered. So I went to a doctor and was diagnosed with left vocal cord paralysis. This is a nerve problem that causes your left vocal cord to not move properly. Despite extensive examination, the doctors never identified a cause — though there was speculation of virus-based damage from my cold. It is quite common in cases like these that a definitive cause is not found.
While this condition never really affected me — other than having a slightly weaker voice than normal which some people think sounded a little funny — it naturally raised questions in my mind about my second vocal cord. But I was told that sequential paralysis of one vocal cord following another is extremely rare.

An Interesting History of 1752.
Here is an interesting historical fact. Just have a look at the calendar for the month of September 1752.
Go to Google type "September 1752 calendar" & see for yourself.
You will notice, 11 days are simply missing from the month.
Here's the explanation: This was the month during which England shifted from the Roman Julian Calendar to the Gregorian Calendar.
A Julian year was 11 days longer than a Gregorian year. So, the King of England ordered 11 days to be wiped off the face of that particular month.
So, the workers worked for 11 days less that month, but got paid for the whole month. That's how the concept of "paid leave" was born. Hail the King!!!
