A Pretty Sunset
Mukilteo, Washington

It doesn't get much fresher than this--shot last night and processed this morning! This is a shot of the sunset we had last night down in Mukilteo at Picnic Point County Park in Washington State. After a mad dash to get there in time for sunset, was originally surprised to find the beach deserted. But, after experiencing a few minutes of shivering in the freezing gale force winds, the surprise waned a bit.  But I think the show was worth it.

My daughter loves to run along these trails. She loves it so much, in fact, she'll try to sprint until she's out of sight. So, I snapped this photo while running and yelling and tripping over my tripod. This kid is getting too quick... 
Anyway, I liked the angles and how the trees seemed to slightly reach for the sun.

#ifihadglass I'd have captured more moments at the Daddy-Daughter Dance. When I put on my dress uniform to escort my little date to what she called the "Royal Ball" she asked "Daddy are you a real Knight!?" Best. Moment. Ever. :-)

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full.. The students responded with a unanimous ‘yes.’

The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between thesan... more »

Wild and Wonderful - 
This is the mountain in WV I grew up on.  I did most of the post processing on an #iphone   - and am starting to prefer #iPhoneography  over traditional DSLR and computer processing.  Maybe it's just phase...  Any thoughts?

Mountainstorm

A few photos ago in my stream, Mr. +William Beem (a very nice photographer who has joined me on many PhotoWalks!) commented that mountains freak him out. This was interesting to me! It's the complete opposite to me... mountains calm me and make me feel secure.

What do you think - do have any opinions like this about mountains? Or, are they just "things" you see like candlesticks and lawn furniture?
