MISSING 5 YEAR OLD GIRL Mid Wales Please reshare

Police in mid Wales have launched a search after a five-year-old girl went missing tonight in Machynlleth. (UK)

April Jones was last seen playing on her bicycle with friends near her home in the town around 7:30pm BST on Monday.

She was seen getting into a light coloured van (Believed to be a small Ford Transit Connect Van) which then drove off.

Dyfed-Powys Police say they are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety and are asking anyone with information about the incident to call them by dialling 101.

April was wearing her school uniform and a purple coat.

Up to 200 people had gathered at Machynlleth Leisure Centre by 23:00 BST preparing to join the search for the missing girl.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) is Oatcake Day

One of Stoke's local breweries have even brewed their own beer especially for the day:

Our Titanic Oatcake Stout has arrived, and will be on the bar on Wednesday. It's a tasty 5% stout made using oatmeal.

If stout's not your thing but you'd like to join in the celebrations, then why not sample one of our delicious oatcakes? There's even a special on the day, a braised peppered beef oatcake. Yum!

Right, forget whatever you are doing. This is important. Very important.

Next Wednesday, 8th August, is the official Staffordshire Oatcake day and unless you are a Stokie, you have probably never ever tried one. Your life is not yet complete.

So, unless you can get to somewhere to pick up some of these babies, you will have to make your own. Here's how:

One Dozen Staffordshire Oatcakes

8 oz/225g fine oatmeal (if you can only find medium oatmeal or porridge oats, blitz them in a food processor for a couple of minutes - you should be able to get them through a sieve with only a little bran residue at the end. Tip the residue in as well.)
4 oz/112g wholemeal flour
4 oz/112g plain flour (Don’t use strong bread flour)
15 fl oz/430g skimmed or semi skimmed milk
15 fl oz/430g water

Is the pursuit of happiness "flowery" and unimportant or does it have benefits?

LOST AND FOUND

I have in my possession a ring. This ring, most probably, belongs to married couple from Sweden (perhaps Stockholm). We found this ring few years ago on a far away sunny beach.

The ring belongs to Kerstin and Jan which got married (or engaged) in, as it seems, 1966 (maybe 1965 - it's a bit hard to read).

Please share and help finding the owner. Good ideas of how to find the owner are also welcomed.

We've been over to see Little Moreton Hall over in Congleton today and it is an absolutely fantastic place to explore.

Built between 1450 and 1580 it really is am interesting place to visit. Many of the rooms, as you can see from the outside of the house, have twisted and distorted over the past 500 years due to the house being top heavy and having little or no foundations.

I've been really pleased this week that my Red Love apple tree has come into flower for the first time with some startlingly pink flowers. It's only 2 years old and I didn't really expect to see flowers this year.

There's only a few but they will develop into an apple with naturally red flesh which holds its colour when cooked. With the strawberries all coming up strong and my other apple and pear tree heavily flowering this year, it could be a bumper crop of garden eating.
