I can't believe this...
I just woke up and decided to check out the new Google+ web UI, annoucend yesterday at I/O. Also at Google I/O was +Larry Page, suprisingly! And what struck me the most was that he was answering questions from the audience. And during that question-round he said the best thing I've heard all night (probably all year): "Being negative is not how we make progress."

And quess what I find scrolling the new Google+ stream? Negativity... Great..
Some people don't like this, don't like that. Others saying it looks like Facebook or Pinterest. Seriously?

This update is a nice one if you ask me, looks better and has a lot of usefull new features. But it looks like most people in my stream can't handle the changes that this fast moving compagny, Google, made.

Flying Vuvuzela's (which we caught) and +Major Lazer money's, beer- and champagneshowers, Diplo in a airbubble rolling over the crowd. Heck, even naked girls on stage trying to shake their bubble butts.
Don't forget the exchange of sweat and smiles with others! (And a birthdaytweet from Benga!). Tonight was big fun and a great way to celebrate the last days of being 20 years old.

New bike! Wootwoot! I decided just to go for it and buy this beauty. Been riding a for a couple of times now and after some adjustments and personalization it's just a perfect fit.
Prettier pictures will come some time later, taking pictures isn't the reason why I got the bike.

Gaat weer lekker vandaag. Wist niet dat een hardcopy inleveren zoveel problemen met zich mee kon brengen!
Verbazingwekkend genoeg begonnen de problemen pas op school en niet al op het station. Printers blijven lastige apparaten die over een aantal jaren de mensheid verslaat.
En natuurlijk kan reizen ook nooit gewoon goed gaan.. Treinen die spontaan uitvallen is toch wel iets dat tot de geschiedenis zou moeten behoren..

Maargoed, als de trein waar ik nu in zit zou gaan rijden ben ik bijna thuis :]

Today, on my day off (kinda) I decided to change the look of my phone. I always used plain black wallpaper, with some basic info underneath a small clock. 
As this video from +MyColorScreen (http://youtu.be/10HYZTgP4BM) popped up on my feed on Youtube I took my chances in optimizing it for my personal wallpaper. A lot is explained in the video, so I recommend to just watch it.
The only thing I wasn't happy with was the bottom half of the screen. I like to have a scrollable dock with my most used apps and a widget displaying weather and calendar info. So I simply changed the dock, removed some stuff that was originally at the bottom half and put the new +Google  Search Widget in there.

Perfect fit.

Vanochtend eindelijk het volledige rondje kunnen tracken met Endomondo (http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/164920474/3653257). Was een lekker weertje en het pad lag er goed bij!
Ben al aardig trots op mezelf dat ik dit keer niet verdwaald ben, aangezien dit pas de 2e keer is dat ik deze route gefietst heb. Vanaf de volgende keer ga ik natuurlijk proberen minimaal mijn eigen tijd te verbeteren, moet te doen zijn.
Zijn hier eigenlijk nog meer mensen die actief Mountainbiken in deze omgeving? Of andere Endomondo-gebruikers?

Aaaand there's the Google Now Widget! Great call by all the tech news sites couple of days ago.
Google Search got updated via the Play Store while I'm on a Galaxy S3 running 4.2.1. And also confirmed working on Asus Transformer TF300T on 4.1.1.
Looks great, and I'll definitely be using this!

TechCrunch: Has Google Finally Found Its Mobile Design Chops?

I totally agree on this one! Since the update on communities I figured an update on the Google+ would be coming soon. It came, and it was way more awesome than I thought. I love the animations and 'update-bar'.
Couple of hours later I fired up my tablet to watch something on YouTube, and I got totally surprised by the update I was waiting for so long. It now seems to by much more in sync with the design Google has started to use the last couple of months.
A while back I was using Currents as well. But I didn't quite liked the look of it, so I decided to use Feedly. Which is a great app, but sadly its noticeably in beta, and I haven't seen an update in the months I was using it.

Hoi teamgenoten en tegenstanders. We +Driss elbaze en ik willen van deze community echt een goed werkende verzamelplek maken voor alle Nederlandse spelers. Om dat voor elkaar te krijgen moeten we natuurlijk iedere Nederlandse Ingress speler hier zien te krijgen. 

+Driss elbaze is bezig met een short.url voor een makkelijke verspreiding van de community link. Je kan natuurlijk altijd de community delen door op 'Acties' (links onder het logo) te klikken en dan op 'Community delen'.

Over het logo; momenteel hebben we het standaard Ingress Logo. Maar ik denk dat het meer leden onze kant op lokt als er een 'verNederlandst' logo komt.

Had a lot of #ingress  fun today :D I took the liberty too take my girlfriends bike and drove to a bunch of unclaimed portals to deploy my resonators. Which I got from hacking some of the bigger, already owned by #englightened  portals.
Although the screenshot says I'm level 1 still, after taking over this many portals that isn't the case. Luckily my phone does say I'm on level 2 now.

Too bad I don't have any time, battery, and resonators left. Because this was so much fun! While I was hunting for portals another player in my area (Aprazeth) was also taking over some portals nearby. I'd love to encounter some other players in the near future!

In de zoektocht naar een nieuwe telefoon voor +Julia Zwaal kwam ik er achter dat mijn abonnement ook bijna afgelopen is bij KPN. Maar op het moment weet ik niet wat wijsheid is.
Ik heb namelijk op het moment: onbeperkt en snel data (vertraagd na ong. 1500Mb) en een door mezelf aangeschafte Galaxy Nexus.

Met de Galaxy Nexus ben ik op het moment nog wel tevreden. Ik ben door deze telefoon wel fan geworden van de Nexus-lijn, maar de Nexus 4 lijkt niet zo'n grote upgrade. En Android 4.2 krijg ik ook vanzelf wel op m'n Galaxy Nexus zodra +CyanogenMod de bugs heeft weggewerkt.
De performance upgrade is klein, net als de ergonomische verbeteringen.

Wat dat betreft ben ik dus voorlopig nog tevreden met de Galaxy Nexus. Maaar.. Als binnenkort KPN, Vodafone of een andere provider 4G gaat uitrollen dan wil ik daar wel gebruik van gaan maken.

Oke, this looks promising! Google build a location based game. And it actually looks like a lot of fun. It seems te be invite only for the moment but I'm definitely trying to get my hand on this game.
Hopefully it won't be limited to US though, because lately +Google hasn't done much for The Netherlands.

Dat is nou lullig.. Gelukkig heb ik vandaag mn Galaxy Nexus geüpdatet met de laatste versie van Cyanogenmod. Dus op Android 4.2 hoef ik niet lang meer te wachten :)
