Interesting +Craigslist Article

I hope they realize that all of this could be prevented by just improving their (Water Blocking Device) site! 

The only real reason that people try and start these sites is because of the lack of sophistication and options on the original site. It leaves people saying "there's got to be a better way". Which one would think would be a familiar notion at CL since after all I'm sure it why +Craig Newmark started the site in the 1st place. Now just imaging if all the news papers had teamed up to ban him from posting "their classifieds" on his site the way CL is doing these others?! However, I'm sure they don't see it that way. Which is sad because all that anyone who believes in evolution would tell you is that they are just delaying the inevitable.

I decided to start reading the book of Psalm tonight and I couldnt remember this, so I looked it up. It is very interesting!

Did you know that:

1)Psalm 118 is the middle chapter of the entire Bible?

2)Psalm 117, before Psalm 118 is the shortest chapter in the Bible?

3)Psalm 119, after Psalm 118 is the longest chapter in the Bible?

4)The Bible has 594 chapters before Psalm 118 and 594 chapters after Psalm 118?

5)If you add up all the chapters except Psalm 118, you get a total of 1188 chapters.

6)1188 or Psalm 118 verse 8 is the middle verse of the entire Bible? Should the central verse not have a fairly important message?

Is this central verse not also the central theme of the entire Bible?

I am so blessed to have such great friends.

Ask and ye shall receive. A few weeks ago I prayed to God to give me guidance and let me have success with my business or present me with opportunities where I could make a difference in the work place. 

This week I've have been contacted by friends with three different job interviews all of which went very well. Now I may have to face the difficult task of having to choose which position is the best fit. Anyone would be lucky to be in such a place. 

I just feel so blessed to have such great friends in my life and have to give all the credit to God. I prayed and he has answered. Now I don't have a position yet so I wont start counting chickens but just to ride the wave of such a miracle is a true blessing.

You know what pisses me off? (Actually it dosnt really piss me off but it was bugging me earlier) 

When rich guys intentionally make less money than they are capable of and then ask others to give more. Case in point +Craig Newmark has been asking others to help (some cause or another). Granted its a noble thing to do, give money to charity. Especially, because I think the charity in question was for veterans. Bravo man!

But what buggs me is that guy has repeatedly scoffed at offers to monetize CL his site. I recall reading an article (dated a few years back) that CL is constantly approached by companies wanting to advertise or VC wanting to take CL and turn it into a cash cow by adding X or Y, yet CL ownership prefers to stay small with only a handful of employees and he prefers to make only (X salary) not (X plus Billions salary) so they can stay true to who they are etcetc. ... more »

Oh WOW! I just discovered that Google has deleted one of my posts! I posted an article on historical figures many of whom were famous scientists who were also believers in God.

I also wrote my opinion of how arrogant it is for some to state that thanks to their scientific prowess that they are atheists and that it was foolish to think that soo many of the finest minds in history never stopped to question their own existence. Yet they had and it showed them that there was no God.

However, now that article is gone! I went back to search for it and I couldn't find it in my stream. I have no idea where it went. It apparently was too damning (pardon the pun) for some to take and one way or another this post was deleted (aka censored).

Guess I'll write it again and this time pay closer attention.

This song was compiled by Alan Lomax in a really good book called "Cowboy Songs and Other Frontier Ballads". Many of the songs collected in this book have been long since forgotten and its difficult to find anyone who knows their tunes. But it makes an excellent coffee table book for anyone living in the south or has an interest in the American West.

I'm working on a financial statement analysis of Microsoft for an MBA class of mine and it really just makes me realize what a stupidly awesome company MSFT is. Especially when I compare it to Apple.

Its almost as if they are not in the same industry. If they are in the same industry they arn't playing at the same levels of maturity.

to use a baseball analogy (something I understand) its like Apple is the kid who's tearing it up in the minors and Mircosoft is the guy who been dominating in the bigs for 10 years and (since these are companies) isn't showing any signs of slowing!

New G+ Layout Verdict

You know at 1st I really liked the new G+ layout. I thought it was more appealing to the eye. Now the more I use it the more I'm realizing that its far less usable than the old version.

Navigating between circles is now more challenging and its not just a growing pain or something you'll get used to, its literally more mouse clicks.

The worst part is that its far less readable. Just try scrolling your stream with the "J" key. With the old lay out (on my 17 laptop) I could read the post, see the image and most of the time all of the comments associated with that post. Now with the new layout I typically can't view the whole post, or if I can see the post I cant read the comments at the same time.

So overall I think the new layout is more visually simulating and inviting, the overall experience has been harmed... more »

You guys better get your shit in gear! I stuck up for you during the Qwixster fiasco when all the other investors were jumping ship. I've ever been ok with the way you slyly doubled the price of my membership during the process. But the fact that your streaming movie library just sucks and doesn't seem to be making any progress is unacceptable.

You guys need to do whatever it takes to get movie streaming up to par with your DVD collection or Netflix is history. And I dont just mean Im gonna cancel my membership. I mean Netflix is in serious danger of losing public confidence in the companies ability to do business. This means no confidence in future expected cash flows and conversely means stock price is gonna tank!
