Have you played with Google+'s new emoticons feature?

You post a photo to just yourself. After it's posted, click on it then click on the smiley face button on the upper left. 

Google automagically figures out the emotions of everyone in the picture, then creates a thought bubble expressing those emotions on the picture. 

You can then "Share" with Public or whomever you like. 

Did you catch that? Google is perceiving the emotions of people in pictures. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Maybe Google can tell me! : )

Funny story....

A few years ago I met Nakia and he insisted we take a photo together. At the time I didn't like having my photo taken but he pulled out his camera phone snapped and photo and said he would tweet it at me. I never received the photo and that was a major bummer because I liked him. :( 

So at SXSW when I ran into Nakia with my friend Donna Newton I stopped him in the street and made him take a photo with me. 

Donna is a great friend who not only took the photo but sent it in an email! :) As an appreciation to her and +Nakia for FINALLY making me take a photo (I don't know what my problem was) I have decided to share it with everyone along with a post about his upcoming show. 

So on Friday March 29th Nakia will be Fitzgerald's Bar & Live Music in San Antonio and I recommend everyone go and take photos with this huggable guy. Buytic... more »

A little info about my campaign...

I had a running joke on twitter for the past six months that I should find someone to pay for me to cover SWN Festival. On Tuesday September 25 I put my foot in my mouth and started a gofundme.com page.

 I wanted to cover the Festival that had been described to me by friends as SXSW in the UK. But what is happening in Wales from October 18th to the 21st is something I need to be part of.


 This fund is so I can discover the Next great thing in music and do so at a location crammed with 150+ bands that have the potential of playing SXSW. I know most people are thinking why not just see the band when they come to Austin. Not all bands come to Austin. You see many bands are accepted to play SXSW but not all international bands can afford the expense of traveling.
