Maybe if the bastards stopped going through our ranks with razor gangs offering redundancy packages of 1 full years salary to leave so that we can delete your position - there might be more of us left who are over 55. Honestly - what is the incentive to stay at any public service level when the cheap shots are always going to be to cut government services and export them to an increasingly inefficient private and for profit sector.

Well, this is an interesting aside to the rising sea levels that are happening as a result of global warming. I have worked alongside civil engineers since 1976 and I spent 10 years as an administrator on a major sewerage project. I know that water flows downhill. It's CE 101. I also know that not everything that flows downhill is water. CE 102.
If the water levels continue to rise, how will it affect the predominantly gravity sewer systems in coastal towns and cities? This is a question of special importance to Australians where over 80% of our population lives on the coastal belts.

Oh I admired this woman. Her empathy, her courage and her utter dignity. She was far more than the Alpuget bitch who stole her husband made her out to be. Wife of our former Prime Minister Bob Hawke, she stood by him and they raised a family together. He philandered, she still stayed. He left this wonderful woman for his biographer.

The Dying Priest
In a Sydney Nursing home an old priest lay dying.
For years he had faithfully served the people of the nation’s capital.
He motioned for his nurse to come near.
“Yes, Father?” said the nurse.
“I would really like to see Tony Abbot and Joe Hockey before I die”, whispered the priest.
“I’ll see what I can do, Father”, replied the nurse.
The nurse sent the request and waited for a response.
Soon the word arrived; Tony and Joe would be delighted to visit the priest.

In case you missed noticing, there is a huge civil disobedience campaign against Coca Cola and its products here in Australia. It's called Out of Order and it tells Coke that they were Out of Order to come into this country and ban a viable container recycling scheme in the Northern Territory through a loophole in the law there.
+Greenpeace Australia Pacific has taken on Coca Cola Amatil as well by means of an advertising campaign using online media. Watch the video. Get informed. Stop buying Coke and Coke products.
+Coca-Cola has now bought paid advertising spots on Google so when you search for Greenpeace you get a face full of Coke propaganda.

We're back, once again. The kids once again dominated the week, with seven kids under 16 years of age who either shot themselves or were shot by other kids under 16. The youngest victim of GunFAIL this week was just 13 months old, shot by her dad while cleaning his guns. A shocker, to be sure, but then again it was the second time in the space of as many months that a dad had done the same, in Tennessee alone.
