Amazing out of all of the people on this community that most only have newer BMW cars - There really is just something about owning an old 7 series, despite all of it's issues (previous owners didn't keep maintained), and I am going to slowly bring this 7 series back to it's former glory.

My first task (which I have everything needed except for the 30mm thin wall socket - will get that in morning) is to replace the transmission output shaft seal. (should be fun as the exhaust has to come out to get to it...)

Anyway - 1988 (*1/22/1988 build date) BMW 735i (E32 - M30B35 engine - ZF 4HP22 electronically controlled automatic transmission, 3.46 limited slip rear differential)

I agree with the comments to add weights to the back (real forklifts are weighted) - but would also say that it's a bit 'fast' may need to gear it down a bit more.

Now you need playground sand (look at bag and get the one that has 20/30 as the grain size) - and some stone (bag also - looking for average size to be 1/4" to 1/3" roughly 3 to 6mm) so that your trucks can do 'some work' on your new road surface.

Nice driving -
How much did that planter box weigh? That was pretty boss...
Also - IF you can move the 5th wheel forward about 4mm to keep those front tires (or is it tyres for you?) planted better.

I'm noting that all of the models are 90% assembled - I was wanting to know - Do you have unassembled 1/6 scale models?
Two reasons for asking - 1. I like to put them together and 2. I want to make it 'fully functional' remote controlled.

Ok, so a thing is going to happen soon. This thing involves my 07 Mazda 3 Sport Hatch, my wife, my daughter, and my daughter's stuff.

This thing is driving from Altamonte Springs, FL to KCAD in Grand Rapids, MI - between 1200 and 1300 miles each way. (or about 18 hours of driving - shared driving between the wife and myself).

So, other than the basic (oil change, check all fluid levels, etc) anything that I should consider with the Mazda making that drive?

(and what's with only two categories to post?)

This is my 07 Mazda 3, which I've just purchased used with under 50k miles. It was the Mazdaspeed intake with cone filter, Mazdaspeed cat-back exhaust, Mazdaspeed ECU/chip, Blue LED interior/hatch lighting.
2.3L/5speed. Runs like a champ, handles awesome.

So here is my 2007 Mazda 3, I'll get some interior and under hood (bonnet) shots later.
A few upgrades of note, Mazdaspeed intake w/ cone filter behind bumber, Mazdaspeed cat-back exhaust, Mazdaspeed ECU, all interior lighting is Blue LED, though the radio and some of the display are still the oem amber. (I bought the car this way a short time ago).
Needless to say less than 50,000 miles on the odometer, very quick, and of course it is the 2.3L attached to a limited slip 5 speed.

So, I am selling the 88 BMW 735i to a salvage yard (aka there will be a good engine, lsd rear, and many other parts available in the Orlando area soon)....

I did have to have transportation - so I picked up an 07 Mazda 3 (not the Mazdasport 3 unfortunately) - but it's lightly modded (by previous owner, intake, cat back - stainless, not a 'huge' muffler, actually sounds good, not a bumblebee sound)... it's a 5 speed . 4 door hatch, silver with black and grey interior... it's near show room condition (one odd broken passenger grab handle - everything else is good).

Previous owner also swapped in blue LED lights for all interior lights, and the 'dash glow' lighting (*behind the gauges) - the rest of the dash (*center console/factory stereo/message center) are orange (as well as the actual gauges) - so it has a rather nice fell about it.

Cheers.

Why people?

Seriously, the 18 wheeler ran his red light, while traffic was already nasty today, blocking up all of the lanes in front of me, it's worse - as he didn't make the turn correctly and had to back up then go forward again.

Where's the police or the highway patrol when crap like this is happening.

Seriously.

I don't post 'Public' very often, so pay attention.

I drive a '4 door sports car', I typically drive a bit fast (and have paid a lot of tickets for this).

I witnessed tonight the reason to not ever street race

I live in Altamonte Springs - which is located north of Orlando, the Hotel/Convention site is on the far South side of Orlando (it's a 45 minute drive if driving at around 60mph).
On the way back after picking up the girls at just after 2am, I was driving at about 80mph (as were the 2 cars in front of me and a car two lanes over from us).

I saw lights bounce off of a sign in front of me, but didn't yet see the car in the mirror, I moved more to the left (fast lane - moving towards the yellow line and center wall of the highway), as I did this - two cars passed between the group of 3 that I was in and the car in the far right lane - the other 4 cars passed on the shoulder around the single car in the far right lane.
All of these cars were doing at least 130mph on the highway. (this is a judged speed based on my speed and how long it was from time of passing to time of no longer being visible).
(If you look up the Orlando area - they passed just south of Sandlake Road and I-4)
The crash they caused shut down the two left lanes of I-4 just past Par Street exit. - Police/Ambulance/Fire Rescue had arrived by the time I reached Par Street exit (which I took since I know the area well).

I have no doubt that at least 2 of the 6 cars were involved in this crash - and sadly (I checked the traffic cams when I arrived home) so were two other cars.

Do not street race

I am an artist, and like most artist, I'm not making much money from my talents (yet).

I should also add that I've always enjoyed a good discussion, topic doesn't matter, as long as those in the discussion are intelligent.

I am 'unemployed' - but available for work - I 'work' in warehouse type positions. I also do computer repair, a/v installs, custom home theater installs, and computer to a/v integration for home theater installs.

Basically I have a crappy old Intel that I will be creating on, I have a server that currently has one CPU (but has space for a second CPU), that I want to use for the actual rendering.

Anyone here familiar with how to set up a local area networked Render Farm?

I find it absolutely amazing that so many You Tube Videos are not available on mobile - really in this time of the smart phones and tablets your loosing a huge audience by not having it available on mobile.

Hello everyone, and thank you +Aed Roberts for the invite - I've been a bit scattered as I usually use the G+ app for Android - but as it doesn't have communities... I have to use Chrome for Android to see the communities.

I'll be sharing some things on related topics of 'how - to' on several 'Low Tech' methods that I've learned over the last 40 years. I'm older than that, but didn't learn much till I was 3.
