If you're looking to get the best from Google+ and are trying to gain some traction with your brand, service or personal musings and have gone to the effort of creating a business page but gave up quickly because you felt you were shouting in an empty room. Well, there are some very basic steps you can take to get people to actually visit your page.
1. HOVERCARD
If you think of your page as your storefront, then think of the hovercard as a advertising billboard out there in the world showing off your product. Only this billboard doesn't sit still. It quite literally wanders the globe ready for action in front of millions of eyeballs.

GplusPhotoPages App Updated
Version 1.0.1 contains a couple of changes and tweaks. When viewing single themes, you can hover your mouse over the Theme name and the theme info* will show in a tooltip. You can also post to multiple themes, just click the Multiple Theme link at the top right of the page.
The Multi page has all the latest updates allowing full or limited search as well as theme names being listed.

Women Wednesday Update - PLEASE READ and SHARE
Due to much blessing, the artistic lives of +Athena Carey, +Lee Daniels, +Christina Lawrie and +Kerry Murphy are booming. That being said, with heavy hearts they will no longer be able to co-curate the +Women Wednesday theme due to time contraints and other commitments. Beginning next week, please do not tag them in #womenwednesday posts.
I will be co-curating with +Scott Detweiler. Feel free to tag me, +Niki Aguirre and/or him each Wednesday if you want us to check out your photo, but no pressure to do so otherwise!

New ~ Multi Themes
Enter a keyword that best describes your photo and it will search the database for any theme tagged with that word. The result will list all Themes Curators text in one box which you can copy and paste in one go.
This saves you having to copy each individual curators details for each theme you want you post to.
Try it yourself, click the link below and enter in a keyword, eg; flowers

NEW HASHTAG
Our old hashtag #moodymonday has become virtually unusable due to the large number of gif & cat posters who are probably not even aware of our theme.
I've held out as long as possible as we were here first but it's extremely difficult now to find genuine posts amongst all the crap.
So, from next week on, all people wishing to post to this theme, please use our new hashtag: #moodymondayphoto
Sorry about this, but it's the simplest solution.

New GplusPhotoPages App in Chrome Web Store
Version 1.0.0 just Launched!
You can now install this simple app in Google Chrome which will show you a real time list of the current day's Photo Themes. It's a stripped down list of the Curators Text which will load instantly.
Just copy the text of the theme you're interested in and paste it directly into your post.
No permissions required, no personal data retrieved

Theme Posting
A word of warning to anyone new to theme posting...
You may have noticed that many posters include multiple tags & curators in each posting. Sometimes, the number of theme inclusions can be huge.
These "Scattershot Posts" are all too common and many curators have privately expressed their frustration with them.
While the poster is probably genuine in their desire to participate in many themes, it can often be felt by curators that they're just looking for exposure and not really interested in their particular theme.
Many curators spent a lot of time and effort looking after their themes and may feel a bit put out with their pride and joy being regarded as just an add-on to some.
There are often different but similar themes that are relevant to the image but this is not always the case.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to the recently reported serious decline in the global supply of Pixels and the subsequent closure of Pixel Mines around the world, we have no choice but to introduce a nominal charge for those posting colour photos to themes.
We hope the situation is temporary as there have been tentative reports of Pixel seams found in the North Atlantic near Iceland but it remains to be seen if it would be financially viable to mine in such deep and treacherous waters.
In the meantime, here is the list of charges which we hope you find fair.
Greyscale: No charge
Black & White: $1 per theme posting
Muted Pastels: $1.20 per theme posting
Blues & Greens: $1.80 per theme posting
Anything with 40% or more reds or Orange: $2.00 per theme posting

Here's how to resize the new Google+ Cover Photos.
It seems at the moment many people are unable to reduce in size their new G+ cover images, here's a fix that works by editing your cover image in the "scrapbook album".
Once you have uploaded a new cover image, you need to find that image in your "scrapbook album" on your G+ page. You then use the edit photo tools to crop the scrapbook album image, choose save and overwrite.
Providing you have cropped the image in the "scrapbook album", saved it, choosing overwrite, when you refresh your G+ page it should display a smaller cover image.

You can now copy the curator & hashtag text directly from the directory to post to a particular theme. Just view the theme entry, click on the text and then paste it into your theme post.

OK I'm tossing my hat in the ring and trying to combine two favorite things, Whiskies and Photography. To that end I'm curating #WhiskiesWednesdays so I can see more pics of your dram and dram related subjects. Purely selfish you understand. ;)

In the past pages could only interact with those people who had circled the page. This is no longer the case as Google has lifted that restriction.
Also, Google are planning on introducing Analytics for pages sometime in the near future.

Ok.. so it's now December 23rd 2012 and just 2 days until the big day.. . so i thought i would send out our little Christmas Town 'village' of merry makers as well as let everyone know that we have a parallel community too that lots of people are posting to..
