After 15 days unconnected from the world, we have just arrived home from our photographic trip "Namibia, desert & wildlife 2013". What a magical 15 days in the company of our clients!
We enjoyed wonderful light conditions, glorious sunrises and sunsets over sand dunes, skies filled with millions of stars, lots of animals and even the magical experience of photographing the full moon rising over a magical Deadvlei... For what we saw already in our critical sessions, all our clients came back home with pretty incredible photographs!
Now, it is time to start planning our next trip "Namibia 2014", which will open for bookings in a few days. Check out soon the space http://rafaelrojasphoto.com/phototrip.php

From here, my humble thanks to Outdoor Photographer magazine for having chosen me as one of the "Modern Landscape Masters" on their annual May special issue on landscape photography. I should mention, however, that the more I photograph the landscape, the more I realize how far I am from mastering it!

NEW PHOTO-IMMERSION TRIP: FINLAND, KINGDOM OF SILENCE 2014
We are very glad to announce our new Photo-Immersion trip "Finland, Kingdom of Silence 2014", which will take place from the 9th to the 16th of February 2014.
We will visit and photograph the Finnish Lapland in winter, when it becomes a surrealistic kingdom of silence where trees turn into sculptures, the sun skims the horizon and the northern lights paint the skies. Nowhere else is winter as magical as here.

Nous sommes vraiment ravis d'annoncer notre nouveau voyage Photo-Immersion "Finlande, Royaume du Silence 2014", qui aura lieu du 9 au 16 février 2014.
Nous photographierons la Laponie Finlandaise en hiver, quand elle se transforme en un silencieux royaume surréaliste dans lequel les arbres deviennent sculptures, le soleil effleure l’horizon et les aurores boréales colorent le ciel. Nulle part ailleurs l’hiver n’est aussi magique qu'ici...

After 3 years of work, our totally new website has been officially released today.
Available in 3 languages (English, French, Spanish), the new website has been totally custom made to achieve the website we dreamed years ago. New photographs with text in our gallery, new ebooks, new photographic trips and workshops, online purchasing and online booking, integrated blog, newsletter, are only some of the new features.

Back from a week in Lofoten islands, Norway, unconnected from the world and FB.
We had an absolutely wonderful week. Rain, snow, blizzards, sun, hail, northern lights and a ton of mood. We had the three seasons in a same week I would say. I also had time to learn how to bake our own cinnamon rolls and to prepare fresh cod directly from the fishermen.
For most of the time I used my Hasselblad and Tmax B&W film, with a couple of rolls of Velvia. I will take a few weeks to develop and postprocess, but I guess there will be some really moody and gloomy black and white photographs there in those rolls...
A few cards of digital photographs too, mainly with "window photographs" of the place, like the one here attached. A "pretty picture" of the trip, quite dissonant with the rest of work I have made there I guess...

It was really great to see you all at the opening of the exhibition at the Castle of Chillon. It was a great success indeed and we had an unforgettable moment! We have posted a couple of photographs in our last blog post of how the photographs look in that sublime environment.
The exhibition will be there till the next 14th of April.
