Back from the United States and still a bit jetlaged ... maybe this explains those colors? ;-)

Picture shows the Bonneville race track after some very heavy rainfalls. Expecting a salty desert we had to explore a huge lake, but hey it is how it is and sometimes you have to make the best out of it, right?

I like "empty" places a lot. I love the desert, wide beaches and even huge parking lots. I can´t explain why but maybe because Germany is so crowded and the grass is always greener on the other side, right?
So this is not a nice sunset picture, nevertheless I like the mood while walking on a foggy beach early in the morning after a rainy night in the tent.

This is the fourth time since joining G+ almost a year ago that I'm sharing my photographers circle.  I shared it with 500 photographers, 1,000 photographers, 1,500 photographers and now 2,000 photographers.  I have to break my circle up into four 500 photographer circles as that is the G+ limit.  Each day this week (Mon.- Thurs.) I'll share a different circle.  Today is the second circle and includes photographers with the last name's Ev-La. 

A few notes about these circles.  I always get hated on when I share them by people.  Inevitably if I include 2,000 people, I will leave 50,000 people out.  This is not intentional or personal.  This circle is not "the best" photographers on G+ or in the world.  It doesn't meanif you are... more »

Our Dodge Charger ... OK, it was a rental car we had the last time we have been to the States, but I hope to get this car (or even a cooler one) for our next trip.
This shot was taken in the near of Palm Springs, a wonderful little town.

Back again to the Black Wood Forrest, Triberg to be exactly. Triberg is a nice and peaceful little town surrounded by mountains with fresh and healthy air ... but please don´t visit Triberg in summertime or even on sundays. The huge amount of tourists (like myself) is overwhelming. If you consider to stay there, be there in wintertime - please! ;-)

One week ago I´ve been to the Black Wood Forrest, which is not to far from where I life to test the nd3-filter and gain some knowledge about this kind of photography. It worked out quite well I think for my nearly first attempt. But will try to improve my skills in the next couple of month, for sure ...

The "stripes" from left corner to the center is sunlight passing by, no filter distortion or something. So I left it ...

Long-awaited, now online on the Behance Network. A project shot in small towns like Aberdeen, WA.
Fans may know Aberdeen for Kurt Cobain´s birthplace. He was born in the Grays Harbor Community Hospital and "Come as you are" is still written on the welcome sign.
The project took some time and some places to travel before it could finally be finished. But nevertheless there will be a part II by the end of the year. So stay tuned!

Yes and again in White Sands NM ... I love this huge beach! ;-))

Our trip to WS was quite dangerous because we had heavy winds on the Interstate and the driving was not to easy.
Finally the Interstate had been closed due to "no sight", which means that there was a sand storm chasing over the whole county and a truck crashed just a few miles ahead of us. So the police decided to shut down the complete area for through traffic and we had to stay at a gas station for several hours. Later we decided to check in a motel and get some rest. The next day, the sand storm was gone ... no not completely. We had very heavy winds in the White Sands area but the National Park Service allowed us to hike into the NM - very exciting to be in the middle of the storm! (Don´t try this at home!)
